  1. What?! No commando TK? Do your shorts have shamrocks on them? Well if it isn't seen on the outside there is no reason to put it in the CRL. Silly me. I may relax the color of the lenses in the CRL unless someone has a food argument otherwise. Images will slowly be uploaded over the next few days while I also really go over the text with a fine toothed blaster. Thank you all for your patience. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Quick question... I'm sure there will be more as I study the CRL: Do we know this for sure: Lenses are smoky brown in color and are bubble in shape. Maybe we should we say smoky (or smoked) brown or gray because it seems silly to be specific at this stage. Also... Did no one notice I put an undersuit in the CRL? Duh. -Eric
  3. Clint: LOL Good question. I think that will be sorted out after the movie comes out when there's more reference material. For now it will be just one TFA TK given that is what is mostly available to build. I also like the fact that everyone is calling the new E-11 the 7-11. A lot. Your question is totally in the right place. For simplicity sake right now because FISD is the steward of this costume it will be a TK. The more we know after opening day the more we'll decide if it needs its own detachment and separate designation or not. Too soon to tell but we're open to a new designation if it eventually warrants it. Right now the goal is to get everyone approved as soon as possible with the costumes that lots of people already own. -Eric
  4. Thanks man. Also shut up and finish Pete. Clint? Think boxes? Not yet but soon. I want to get with Brian and go over the wording a bit and add the images this weekend. Then it is up to him when he wants to take submissions. -Eric
  5. Ok. Prelim wording has been added to the legion site. I'll be adding photos over the next day or so. -Eric
  6. I'm hoping upon hoping that some of the changes we made today will make this issue go away. Thank you for your patience. -Eric
  7. Wordo: We're working on it. It's annoying for sure and related to the server move. Thanks for your patience. -Eric Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Photos can be found here of an actual det: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/album/51-thermal-detonator/ -Eric
  9. It isn't the weirdest question but one of my favorites: Fan: How do you go to the bathroom in that thing? Me: I'm going right now <Sssssh-click> -Eric
  10. The character needs a helmet for approval plain and simple. It is up to your local garrison/outpost to decide what events they will and will not allow a legacy trooper to go without a bucket. There is no legion wide rule about wearing your bucket during troop even for an ANH TK. As XO of the NEG I know I wouldn't care if our one legacy didn't wear that silly helmet at a troop especially at a con. I would ask that she have it with her though. With that said... take your sniping to PM please. It doesn't serve FISD in any way to air it out in the open. -Eric
  11. Krista... a few answers. I don't think the base level glove should have specific requirements for basic approval. If they kinda look like the black and white gloves I'm happy. We're going for lots of TFA TKs approved rather than screen accuracy. I think the fabric gaskets are acceptable as long as they're kinda shiny and rubber-ish a la ANH TK neckseal. And boots? I am undecided about the ANH TK boots. I may toss that one to LMOface. My hope is to start getting this stuff on the legion site over the next week or so. -Eric
  12. THANK YOU MATHIAS! -ERIC
  13. Ah crap. I'll check in the AM and see what's up. Likely just needs an upgrade. -Eric
  14. All, I finally have some cell data and I'm headed home today. I'll likely be back on land for an extended period so I am able get back to being the DL again. Many thanks for Clint for picking this up and moving it down field in my work related absence. I knew he was the man for the job. And many thanks to everyone who has put in their input so far. Please do speak up if you have an opinion. There is a reason this is being done out on the open with transparency. It is to get buy in for all the stakeholders and let everyone have a voice. The CRL is shaping up nicely. I have no comments at this time after looking at it in tapatalk. I'm sure I will once I get in front of a laptop with some wifi. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. Ugh. Yeah. That's correct. Very... slow... interwebs. -Eric
  17. Wow guys. This exceeds any expectation I had when you nerds explained what you had intended to write. I know the plan morphed along the way. This is an example of a few amazing things about FISD. Mostly troopers helping troopers. But also the depth and breadth of knowledge our members have. FISD experts always blow me away. The skills of our members make my jaw drop. Lastly I love seeing a cooperative group working together to build something amazing. Thank you thank you thank you. This would make an amazing ipad app don't you think? -Eric
  18. Wow all. The newsletter keeps getting better and better this year. Thank you one and all for all your hard work. These newsletters take up a great deal of their personal time. Please be sure to thank your local PR and IPM team members. -Eric

All the photos in the FISD gallery: From TK6682 (Bender): From TK-8453 (niugnep) TK Echo says: A overlap on one seam [with glue tab] and a butt joint with a shim glued behind on the other seam. The seam with the shim is to have bondo and sanded flush so it is hidden once painted. Camprandall says: The short side of the biceps has a glue surface tab. The bondo'd longer edge just butt joined with a backing strip. I'm putting backing strips anywhere there's a joint I feel might be at all weak, especially if it's under bondo.
  21. It looks like the same neck seal as the TFA TK. It's really really nice. Darman's is more comfy but this one looks badass on me. And seemingly well constructed. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  24. Application DENIED! Oh... I mean... congrats Danny. -Eric
  25. Yeah you're not making any work for Gaz here. How tall are you Markus. -Eric
