  1. A lighter note? No pun intended, huh Chuck? But wow, does that suck! I hope he learned his lesson but you didn't screwed out of anything with Paypal, did you?
  2. I'll have to go out to Lowe's or Home Depot later and see about getting one of these; thanks!
  3. Michael, looking good. I'm in the same boat as you (besides the same area); I just started my Hasbro blaster and it will also take a while for me to get the AM or RT-mod armor kit. I was unsure about the glue if I should get E-6000 as I bought at Wal-mart some Loctite plastic epoxy (sets in 7 min.), Loctite instant-mix epoxy (sets in 1 min.) and Loctite Super Glue. I did not see it there but can always return that and go to Jo-Ann's and get the E6000. What type of body filler/bondo are you planning on using? This is what I have so far: -Hasbro blaster (I've started to sand and bought primer and satin black paint) with Doopydoos kit (which I just got yesterday) -Under Armour 2-piece HeatGear Compression under suit -TKboots -ANH holster from TK8280 -natural color belt from TKittell -non-latex handguards and gloves from Sonnenschien -neck seal on order from TK409 Good luck!
  4. The seller relisted it because the winning bidder did not buy it. So its at $110 starting bid. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270630696932&_trksid=p2759.l1259
  5. I reported the post and then replied with SPAM. I was thinking of that Monty Python skit:
  6. Okay, thanks. I pretty much figured but wanted to get a 2nd opinion. Also to learn without doing it the hard way. Thanks again!
  7. How is this? Thanks! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270627632091&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123
  8. If that's the case, what happens when you pay via Paypal? I believe oiftanker's wife just had a baby last month and he's busy with his job; good reasons why he hasn't been on in over 2 months.
  9. I was thinking the same thing but also wondering if TK-409 does half-sizes as I have a 16.5" neck. Also I was looking at this one by triktoys on ebay and was wondering about them. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290333463574&_trksid=p2759.l1259
  10. Wow, great work Terry. What grade/type of sandpaper did you use? Thanks!
  11. Ok, thanks. I wasn't sure how black it has to be. I also saw this one on ebay and was wondering if anyone has it and how it is. ---------
  12. I was at Sports Authority last night and was looking at the UA Compression/Heat Gear top and bottom and it doesn't look like a dark black; kind of a faded or dull black, is that what people have? Otherwise I'm thinking of getting a dive suit, which looks really black.
  13. I was just at Sports Authority and was looking at the UA Compression/Heat Gear top and bottom and it doesn't look like a dark black; kind of a faded black, is that what people have? BTW are they long enough for tall people like me at 6'3"?
  14. Anyone know what type of helmet this is? Seems too cheap and the lenses look off and there's too much room between them. http://cgi.ebay.com/Stormtrooper-Stunt-helmet-Star-Wars-501st-/110575889584?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0
  15. Are gel insoles recommended or used by anyone for these? Just wondering how they are standing in them all day.
  16. Yeah I saw some of them too at CV and that's what got me interested in the 501st
  17. Ok, thanks guys. I heard that some 501 still wear FX so wasn't sure. How much better is the RT armor than the AM? Is the AM good enough? Just wondering about the quality and if its worth spending the extra money on the RT.
  18. Ok, thanks. Much appreciated, this is why us newbs ask the questions. And thanks Ryan for the heads-up on the ATA helmet.
  19. I see these and figured the prices seem good. What do people think? Thanks! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170528355517&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320577962179&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  20. I'm planning on getting an AM (or RT if I can afford it) armor but may get an FX helmet. I see a couple of FX helmets on ebay and figured for the price it may not be bad to save me time from building but only if the price is right. But is it okay to do that, to have a different helmet maker than the armor? Thanks! Jim
  21. Wow, this thread is awesome and will probably come handy for this newbie. Thank you!
