  1. Worked on weathering some of the armor. Should have the rest finished up in a day or two. Lowered the vertical stripe on the chest by about 2 inches. I'm not doing anything to the bottom edge just yet as I still have to trim off the return edge and install the ROTJ style white trim.
  2. Thanks Terry! I will be sure to wear this armor to the FAAN Troop this year just for Logan! I will also bring my little HWT (AJ) so he and Logan can troop together.
  3. Started weathering the bucket and armor. The bucket is done. Added some chipped/worn areas in the red markings. Also did a little charcoal colored acrylic wash on the entire bucket and wiped it off. I don't want to go too heavy on the weathering, just enough to give it a worn look.
  4. Thanks for all the positive comments guys. Almost done now. Installed the mortar tube and finished the detail work on the radio. All the knobs and dials work/turn on the radio to give it a bit more realism. The radio also doubles as a lockable storage compartment with paddding. There is a second small storage area in the top tube. The cap screws off for a bit more storage. Just have to mount some shoulder straps and this one will be ready to ship to it's new owner.
  5. Just wanted to share some pics from the workbench of another HWT Pack. This one is V4 and I really tried to get it as accurate to the game screen caaps as possible. The radio is really the only thing that will be slightly different, as the new owner wanted my famous "LED" speaker ring installed as well as a removable antenna. Still have to finish up the detail on the radio, mount the Mortar tube and sshoulder straps. I will post more pics when it's completed.
  6. I will have all items fixed as well as the entire suit weathered no later than this coming weekend. Trying to finish up a pack build and some parts for a few Sandtroopers, so I am a few days behind at the moment. I will post some new pics soon.
  7. Thanks for the positive feedback guys!
  8. Well, I finally got a chance to strap on my armor for a quick test fit and some pics. Of course the batteries in my cmaera died after the 1st few shots, so the rest were taken with my Blackberry and the resolution isn't the greatest. Still haven't weathered the suit yet. Also plan on redoing my shoulder straps, adding the white trim ROTJ style and anything else called for in the CRL's so I can eventually submit for EI. I think I have enough to get 501st approval. Just wanted to share a few shots of the 1st suit up.
  9. Here is a few more progress pics. Helmet interior and Pauldron Mod are completed. I installed 2 small squirrel cage style fans in the lower front of the helmet. They run on 9v batts each with the on/off switches mounted in a small projecct bow witch is velcroed into the rear of the bucket. Plenty of freash air. Also mounted my Memorex wireless transmitter and mic into the helmet as well. Pauldron mod completed to have it angle and curve slightly down over my shoulder as per the game screen caps.
  10. Looks great Michael. Keep up the good work. I hope to have my INC done by this weekend.
  11. Looks great Sean. You look like an action figure! Really great job.
  12. Thanks Mason. I didn't do much. I drilled a hole in the top of the housing and inserted a stainlesss steel mounting screw to help hold the assembly together during trooping. Easily unscrews to break the canon down. Other than that, just did some silver dry rubbing on the flat black paint job to give it a more worn metallic look. Really happy with how it has turned out. You really did a fantastic job on this. Thanks again!
  13. Wanted to share my newest weapon for my newest Armor build. This is an Incinerator Trooper Plasma Canon / Flamethrower. It is a custom build by the FISD's very own Dashrazor. This is V3 or Version 3 of his builds. I had it sent to me with just a base coat of paint and I did the final painting and weathering myself, as well as added a few more details. The main body and stock is an Airsoft rifle, which looks almost identical to the screen used weapon. The forward section is made of thin walled PVC, wood and metal. It also contains a working plasma generator in the barrel that lights up when fired. A small control pad has 10 different sound effects to choose from and the speaker is housed inside the Flame accelerant tube (blue tube). The whole thing weights about 4 lbs and breaks down into 4 sections for easy storage and transport. This thing is AWESOME!!!!! Can't wait to troop with this. Thanks Mason for this amazing prop!!!
  14. I also used the green tape for painting all of my armor. The green tape I used is called "Frog Tape" and I found it in the paint isle at my local Home Depot. It is a bit more expensive than the standard blue painters tape, but well worth it. It is supposed to prevent paint bleed, and it definetely does. I had great results using it. I used the blue tape for overspray only.
  15. Thanks Ryan. I am really pretty stoked about it. Can't wait to troop it!
  16. Ha Ha! That's right, I knew those gaps looked a bit off! This set is turning out awesome. Can't wait to see it all done.
  17. All the painting is completed. Still have to do some light weathering. I'm not gonna go to heavy. A few chips and scratches here and there. Layed it all out to see how it looks. Forgot to put out the red pauldron.
  18. Thanks everyone for the positive feedback so far. I am really happy with how it's turning out. Got the rest of the armor pieces painted today. Getting close now!!!!
  19. I'll take a few as well. Got any Animated Clonetrooper DC-15L seeds Chuck? I always knew you were a magician!
  20. I am working on it guys! Almost there. Maybe another week or so and I will have approval pics up. I know we are officially listed as TK's, but it would be nice to see our own designation or have a speccial section.
  21. Got a bit more accomplished. Here are a few more pics of the build... The Thermal Detonator is riveted directly to my canvas belt. One less thing to worry about during the suit up! I also left one end cap open so I can use it for storage if need be. Canvas belt is a TKittlle and it has a thin plastic shimm sewn inside for strength. (Thanks Rob!) Right thigh, and bicep armor taped and ready for paint... Here are some armor pieces after painting...
  22. Awesome screen caps Mason. It looks like there are 3 vertical stripes on thee forearms. Is that right? It appeaars that the front and back vertical trim is red and a 3rd stripe is on the inside center of the forearm. Also has a stripe across the top edge of the bicep. Should I do my paint scheme exactly like that?
