  1. I will hopefully be applying for Centurion in the near future for my ANH stunt, should be fun. Now i just need to find a source for my latex hand guards that isnt dead
  2. I guess this means i need to get my AP up to par. What are the white brads/rivets you used? They look great
  3. Congrats! Great armor, glad you could join the party!
  4. You may want to only have 1-2 bumps painted black on your helmet ears if you plan to to Centurion. Saw its only a should have for EIB but just a thought. Also, i definitely recommend using thin white elastic instead of the zip ties (besides the fact zip ties arent allowed). It works well if you wrap it several times. Otherwise looks great!
  5. Looking good!
  6. Im 5'11" and AP fits me pretty well.
  7. My legs were pretty bad prior to sanding/trimming as well. Take your time and really figure out the contact spots before that first troop. You will be glad you did. In my case, i find the less the armor moves, the better.
  8. Check out the EIB thread for requirements... http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=8583 Pictures would also help us out greatly.
  9. Here is how my shins look... This foam fits nice and snug and keeps the shin piece from moving around on my leg. It also helps that i can close the leg tightly with the velcro...there is very little space inside.
  10. Will do. I looked closer at your photos and the edges could definitely use some sanding. Dremel with fine wheel works well, just gotta be light and fast with it. Another thing i just thought of is to line all the sharp edges with white gaffer tape. Should be fairly invisible and would keep you from getting shredded.
  11. You can also use the score and snap method...but it takes some patience on the curved sections.
  12. With my AP kit, i basically trimmed off all of the top return except for about 1/16" and then sanded them. I made sure to sand them in such a way as to leave a radiused edge or at least not a sharp edge pointing at my leg. I then put padding in the front of my shins right below the knee to fix the shin piece in place when walking. No cuts or anything. EDIT: if you want, i will take a photo of my set up tonight.
  13. You could probably make it to Centurion standards...i dont see why it wouldnt be.
  14. He really does. He should have his own subforum
  15. HOORAY! Trooper beer time! Thanks all!!
  16. The DLT-19 is awesome. Here are the additional gun images requested... Re-strapped butt plate coming shortly as soon as the wife is home to take a picture of it. Its really hard to do in a mirror as you can see in these 2 bad ones i got...if they are good enough, great....otherwise i will post more in a half hour or so...
  17. Thanks, im glad the armor is up to par! (whew!!) I guess i HAVE to go centurion now. Though i may build a new helmet for it. I will tighten up the butt strap tonight and post more photos...as well as details on the DLT-19 (all of which are there, i just blanked on photos of the other side of it!)
