This stuff works fine if there's no direct friction. The one guy I know locally who had rubber boots painted with this stuff quickly had a huge gap in the paint where the bottom of the shin rubbed on the boot. It doesn't wear in that nice subtle way that paint on leather does either. It peels off and leaves a clean hole and a clear view of the original surface.

There's a big f**k-off seam running from the top to the bottom of the boot, in front of the elastic. I think that's what he means. If they are not leather, you might also have a problem getting the white paint/lethaer dye to stick. Thanks for sharing Rob but my advice would be to search eBay for "jodphurs" in your size and you will very likely find something in better quality, in real leather, with a very similar shape for around the same price.

Yes, Vern I know you sell holsters! I'm looking for an ANH holster. I will never ever put a blaster in it. I don't give a toss whether it "fits this replica", "is a great match for a pipe build" etc. All I'm interested in is a holster with accurate dimensions and materials to hang off my belt. What are your recommendations? Cheers.

Looks brilliant. The rivest look just about the right size. When I got them and they'd sent me the wrong size, I was pee'd off but immediately thought of your lads mini TM. Glad it worked out.

Holy moly! You know how often I've looked at these captures and never noticed that!?!? Sometimes you concentrate so hard on certain details that you don't see the most obvious stuff. Mental.

No, I didn't. They stick out in that "ROTJ way" just from the shape of them.

Mods, mods, mods .... The soles of my boots are now painted and the boots are fully weathered. I used spray paint direct on the soles of the boots without primer and the dirt is real soil. No point simulating dirt on white leather and white paint. The real thing does the job. I also modded my blaster. Took out the inside and sealed off the holes with PVC pipe (painted black). There may well be E-11's used on screen with a real MGC body and visible cocking levers etc. but I haven't spotted any so I'm playing it safe and going with this look. I think I prefer it anyway.

Thanks, Stefan. I'm sure you know the blaster builder quite well yourself. Modified my helmet interior today. The liner works really well. 2.75 euros well spent; and seeing as the liners are not sold separately, I now have the first part of my Village People costume!
