First I needed personalised winter gloves: Very cool but keep my hands warm! After mittens, it was time to get ready for the biking season: Front: TK faceplate, my digits plus motto 'good guys wear white'. Left: 501st logo and Empire in the back. Right: TK with alternative sidearm SE-14R. Helmet is standard Bell skating helmet, has been in use for about a year, so some wear and tear and scuff marks can be seen. The drawings are done with black and grey marker from reference pics. What accessories do you have?

My intention was not to cause a scene about helmets, TM, or screen accuracy. I am privileged to own a TM bucket and the original question was from an uninformed TK. Please carry on.

Ditto! Just get yourself a proper snap-off blade knife and you'll do just fine with ABS.

Thanks for this info! Didn't know that. I'll leave it be then. My bucket isn't gonna be the most screen-accurate anyhow, since the inside is black and I prefer the non-hand-painted decals. It's always kind of a balance of what looks good (to the general audience) and what is accurate (ie. hastily done in the 70's). And I don't mean to flame anyone with this opinion, honestly. JoeR: There's plenty of good build threads out there, I am too lazy to document!

Assembling the TM helmet kit as we speak, just wondering about this detail: --------- It's not that imminent in the picture but shows clearly when seen in the daylight. Do people sand it down before adding decals or is there a purpose to leave it as is?

I get feedback with ROM-FX when attaching the speaker behind my chest plate, haven't been able to install the whole system because of that... Any tips or suggestions how to prevent that? John advised me to use something isolating under the mic...

Keep 'em coming! Excellent suggestions. We had some problems getting the chest not to go too high, main problem there is that I don't exactly have the body type of ideal stormtrooper... One way around it was to put extra strap that allows the chest plate movement downwards, but will not allow it to go any higher. Incidentally the strap was not in place when these pics were taken (left it at home, d'oh). Excellent suggestions about the back etc. Thank you!

Finished my AM build, Now I am waiting if I will be approved... Plans are to upgrade the FX bucket with TM to comply with EIB, but while waiting for the delivery, I'd be glad to hear any feedback. Constructive criticism is truly welcome, this is my first build and thus by no means perfect. The key is that I am willing to learn, already the next one will be much better! 10 lbs loss is more like 2 months, but the biggest difference is the change of diet. I took away all the unnecessary snacks plus switched to eating way more fruits and veggies. Also cut down the amount of Coke etc. 20 more lbs, target is by Christmas Eve!

Brian's scientifically right, but to get the effect you'd have to choose the material very carefully and still the desired change would be minor compared to other phenomena outside/inside the armor...

You mentioned staying in high glycemic diet after Atkins, would be interested in what kind of diet is that? Atkins diet is good, but with my friends the weight has also returned quite quickly. Take caution! My project getting down from about 210 lbs to around 180 is advancing slowly, meaning that the first 10 lbs are gone and 20 more to go...

For me it's harder to fall asleep or sleep well when it's more light. We have huge difference between winter and summer regarding the amount of light (here in Finland). Also if I do heavy exercise just before bed time, it's harder to fall asleep. But usually when I have troubles sleeping, it's typically stress-related...

Adding some finishing touches to my armor here and I was just wondering after browsing through many reference pics and recent EIB threads and I didn't find uniform procedure, so I'll ask. How much is the proper amount to leave for the wings on the chest plate and back plate? There seems to be various degrees, such as AP or RT-MOD cuts them short, my AM has plenty it will overlap unless I'll cut some away... Let me try to clarify with some pics: 1) Tkittels AM kit, where the sides almost meet, but there's some vertical distance there also... ...and in comparison... 2)TK 5156 EIB application where there's hardly any wings, especially in the back... Is there any rule or is is just a preference...
