I'm gonna be so bold here and post of Vargs own pics for him to speed things up. This was the best I could find.
Here's the gallery I took it from; http://img560.imageshack.us/g/undersuit.jpg/ which in itself is linked in Vargs EIB request thread.
Ah. I was unsure about the lenses. On the other hand, I never bothered to study that lid.
I'm happy stand corrected and I'll try to remember what basic mods are required.
Seeing how most kits right now are both cheaper, and look better than FX I sincerely hope we see less of those. The only way to get an FX now is recasts on ebay, and those sellers scamming those kits often seem to charge way more than ATA or someimes even more than a TM kit costs.
And with the Doopydoo whole blaster resin kit for only £40 that makes it really cheap and easy to get.
I totally respect that some troopers can't use their accurate blasters outside on troops. But that doesn't mean you can't buy a resin kit to keep at home.
My suit is my first and only so far, and it posed little challenge. but I think most suits are similar in difficulty. I have no good answer about the other suits, only that if you read enough about other peoples builds, I'm sure that you'll do fine.
I'm about that same size and got my TM to fit me perfectly. But you might want to look into the smaller kits as others have suggested. AP/ATA/CAP-W/TE2 are about the same size as they all originate from TE
In nordic garrison 80% or so of our troops are considered semi-canon. Meaning no pauldron and absolutely no bucket off. The only real difference for us between the common semi-cannon and our cannon events is that I may lend my suit to someone else who is a member or supporter for them to troop in, as long as I take responsibility for their behavior.
End of off topic.
Super nice pauldron! Would look awesome on a HWT!
You're wrong on two counts here, mate.
ROTJ have all "black" buttons and not a split butt+kidney plate. I'm saying "black" because it could be darkblue-grayish that look black.
I would try to get the back piece with the (O II) to sit a liiiitle bit higher, alternatively cut the bottom by one ½ inch or so. Or maybe it's just in these photos it sits a little low. But if you can, and want to..-
Maybe you're right Vern, but mine turned out great. Two quick baths in hot water from my tap, let it dry on the radiator in between baths.. and the last time a quick soak and then put my blaster inside it and ran a hairdryer across it until dry.
