  1. Looks really cool Eugene!
  2. Thank you, Rich and Shaun!
  3. Of course you can paint your buttons. Some people are just a little lazy.
  4. Me too. So the server is probably not feeling alright at the moment. I'd give it a rest a couple of more minutes.
  5. Erroneousness post, was supposed to edit first post with better centurion profile picture. Here's the link anyway. http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/3329/tkbignogb.png
  6. You might be right, Christian. No harm in applying for 2 kinds anyways though. Making it "kind of dual".
  7. Shouldn't be a problem for you to pull off! And thanks!
  8. Someone has to be! Although, I don't consider myself the first really, there are many others who had even nicer suits well before me. I'm just the first one to make an application after it opened for requests.
  9. Awesome suit mate! And dual centurion hopefully, sweeet!
  10. That's really cool of you Lou!
  11. Thanks! Now since having a cocking handle on your blaster turned out to be a "must have" I got out and bought some synthetic clay called "Fimo". You sculpt something and then heat it in the oven for 30 minutes at 110 degrees Celsius. When it cools it will be hard yet a little flexible. It can crack however if not handled with care. So here's a before and after pic I make a hole about 6 mm in diameter by melting the thin plastic with a soldering iron and cleaned it up a little with a x-acto blade. It's not glued yet, as I realized I might want to remove it before troops not to damage it. It locks down pretty tight by the bulge near the middle pressing against the score which it would slide within if it was a real gun.
  12. Yeah, I don't have anything against having one. I was contemplating it for a long time and this made me get off my butt and make one. I just think we need to put it down as a "must have", as it's a little less obvious than a trigger guard. And thanks! I take great pride in gently pushing my garrison towards higher standards. Awesome!
  13. Sweet! Wouldn't be possible without the help and inspiration of some other of our members though, you know who you are.
  14. I think you will have less trouble if you make it EIB/Centurion ready from the start, so you won't have to redo so many things later. And yes, the lenses in the AP kit (acetate) is good enough for all standards.
  15. Yes, but not EIB. But new EIB proof Hovis are really not expensive. You can get them from a member here for about 50 SEK (£5) + shipping.
  16. You'll need new hovi tips for the helmet as those included with the AP helmet is not good enough.
  17. Thanks for the support guys. I'm sure that the centurion program will evolve and some details will be added and removed as we go. These things like the cocking handle will always arise when there is no previous example to follow. Here's my new cocking handle sculpted in fimo/synthetic clay.
  18. That's one sweet overlapping armour!
  19. Yes, but how? Can you be a little more specific?
