  1. I'm gonna buy some synthetic clay today and try to sculpt something. Hopefully it doesn't look like crap. But most likely it will.
  2. A resin one would be fine. Not sure how I'd make it sit securely though. I've seen others use a nail with a cut off head. They go all the way to the back of the tube, but a resin handle can't do that. So, as I said, not sure how to make it sit securely. Would love to try though!
  3. I'll try to add that. But I'd like to see a formal vote/veto on the matter. My personal opinion is that it should be included. But then it REALLY needs to be written in the standards.
  4. Thanks a lot mate! Wouldn't be the same without your aid!
  5. That is all natural weathering from not being to careful while wearing them. Also, I don't bring any normal shoes to troops, so I arrive, and leave, with TK boots on. Thanks! The calves are clam shell with "kind of" original strapping. Here's a pic of that.
  6. Here we go then, first one to request! Armor= TM 2mm ABS Helmet= TM 2mm ABS Blaster= SDS/AA Height = 177 cm Weight = 60 Kg Boots = TKboots Canvas belt = TKittel Hand Plates = Karin white rubber 2010 Electronics = 501st creations Neck Seal = TK409 Holster = Vern Here's my action photo (link - Gigantic Hi-resolution image): http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/3329/tkbignogb.png I think that should cover it,
  7. So now that the new CRLs are voted on and set, when can we submit our centurion requests?
  8. I just did my split rivets and did as Mark said and used a screwdriver and a pair of pliers. I used the round "rod" of the screwdriver in between the rivet legs pushing it down with the pliers to spread the legs just so much that they hold the washer in place. Then I only used the pliers to bend the legs down completely over the washer.
  9. The end results! The crotch snap is fixed as well, just didn't get a picture of that.
  10. Wow, great build!
  11. Ah, should be easy enough to fix that. Thanks Rolf Edit: Fixed it!
  12. Okey, so here's some new mods going on. Nothing is permanent yet, but the preparations are done! Removing the pop rivets The holes left by the pop rivets proved a little to big for the split rivets I'm going with eventually, so I'm filling the holes with ABS-paste, here I've only covered the front of the hole with standard masking tape. Filling the holes with new plastic Since drilling out the pop rivets proved a little more challenging that I had expected I'm going the lazy route on the knee belt and just filling it with ABS-paste. Might replace that with putty and paint it if this fails. I'm going with standard paper brads for test fitting everything before making anything "permanent" with split rivets. Here's the crotch strap I remade in elastic rather than the webbing I had before. Here's the outside view Here's the connection between the kidney and ab plate. I'm using standard washers on top of the elastic for strength and nothing underneath the elastic. The outside view Test fitting it on myself I'm feeling quite comfortable using this setup and going for a more permanent solution with split rivets. So if you think I'm doing something terribly wrong, please tell me now.
  13. I haven't seen that, so if they have really big industrial strength rivets that might be required. With mine i doubt anything more than a pair of pliers and/or a swiss army knife would be needed.
  14. Why? You just need to bend the legs outward. I haven't done this on mine yet, so maybe I shouldn't say anything, but to me it seams really straightforward.
  15. And it's really easy! I modded my arms slimmer by opening them up and cutting off an inch or so. Maybe was one hours work to fix both arms.
  16. I attached a male snap on the inside of the belt with a poprivet. Just holt the snap over the rivet before you use the rivet tool to pop the rivet. If you use the right size of rivet it will hold the snap real tight and good.
  17. I pm:ed slavefive yesterday and got an answer the same day.
  18. Haha, I doubt that mate. But I'll see what I can do.
  19. Yeah you can't even tell that it's the same end cap from the picture you sent me!
  20. Thank you Vern! Well, I believe we are 4 active TM wearing TKs so far with I think two more coming within a year or so. Having TM in europe helps a lot.
  21. Well, I had you, Pete, Rich and Rolf to look at for help and inspiration.
  22. Thanks bro! I might use the solo pic for a trading card.
