  1. I never said it would pass EIB, hence my request for advice. I would like a canvas belt but all the belts people make come with snaps already installed, and the way my belt attaches is not like anything anyone sells.

My attachment system will not hinder EIB, it is the material of my current belt that will. I need a sturdy belt that will be able to take advantage of my current snap system (which at this point I cannot change)

None of all belts I've seen for sale here on the boards have snaps pre-installed.

  2. I built my kit over about 3 months from delivery to 501st clearance with no new mods for EIB after I was cleared as those were already in place. But I had my helmet pre-assembled by TM and the blaster bought finished before the suit arrived. Still I don't think it took that long. I had never even seen a real suit before mine, so I learned as I built it. But I had read up a lot from the forums here for a couple of months before I got the plastic. It helped a lot!

  3. I can´t wait to see the pics bro.

Leia is hot, so i understand yes :D

The only crazy thing i have done is to take a small walk in my white trooper, wearing normal cloth.

It looked real disco 70´, a friend want me to keep then on go out partying.

But i could have my self doing it, well maybe because i was not drunk enough :P

Sure thing, i will post some pics alone the way.

Giving birth to the monster suit, to he´s ready for trooping ;)

Cheers mate, over and out from Copenhagen :salute:

I regularly take my tkboots in the morning to work, and sometimes to the bar. You want that "natural" weathering, don't you? ;)

  4. Got my first two TM kits in 2006 (2mm gloss hips i think it was/sold), next one here in 2010 (2mm gloss abs/sold).

And now my # 4 TM kit coming is (1mm semi gloss abs/keeper).

As you can see, i´m a true fan ;)

And i guess, i´m not done getting them coming in..

as our master seems to make them better each time, even we all think it can´t be better each time :D

That sure is a lot of TM goodness! I'm sure I'll do another suit within a year or so. It's so fun. :)

  5. Cool!

See, you can find out things if you try. Well done.

Just in case you are unsure about the brand (as most boots don't have the name inside) the model number you are looking for is 1095. If your boots don't have that then they probably aren't the boots your looking for.

Yeah, I was looking for that number, figuring that was the key to everything, but the pictures I found were from the wrong angle to reveal the inside text. But then I overlooked the differences in the elastic anyway. :)
