    The brand is "Jones" if I'm not mistaken, Mathias.

    I think the overall shape is very close. In the end I filed them under "C" for "Close but no cigar". The elastic is a different size and shape and the model number information inside doesn't match.

    If you're not desperately trying to get the original brand and you want something close, then to my eye these look great.

    I'm not desperately trying to find any, I just noted that Pauls pictures in the first post were back up, and casually googled a little. And you're right, they are "Jones"! These particular ones aren't my size anyway. I was just curious what it was I just stumbled over. :)

    only thing I can see is that your shoulder strap white elastic needs to

    ride over the back of the strap, attaching the top of the back plate.

     

    you have it attaching the front plate on your left shoulder.

     

    the white elastic needs to be across the back of the strap at the

    top of the back plate

    Yeah, I'm very aware of that. It had just fallen down in front when the pictures were taken. Just as my neckseal sits a bit funny and my gloves had slipped down a bit. But all that would be better watched out for before next troop.

     

    Good eye for spotting it though! :)

    Thanks for the thoughts Stephen.

    I´m ok here, but not all good yet.

    For people there do not know it, my ex wife got into some kind of depression giving birth to my son 17 month ago.

    She left us 5 month ago, on a street walk.

    Bam, broken family dream.. game over.

    One thing is if she then just left us, but she have put every knife she could find to put in me.

    Trying to get money, take my son away from me, court cases etc.

    This is not over yet, i still have a court case a head of me, where she is trying to take my son away from me.

    Even she do not want him, but just be young again, and party hard, she´s a mesh bro, she do not know what she is doing, or have destroy for life.

    How bad she is hurting her own son etc, its a night mare.

    But i´m strong, and i´m there for my son 100%.

    I take care of him alone, and he only sleep at her place one night every second weekend.

    Beside that i got him full time here alone.

    Its sad when someone you love, and just got a child whit just fade out, and turn to something you do know any more.

    I have never hurt her in any way, only lover her, and give her every thing in life.

    But she just gun us down, and i still don´t know why... because she do not know her self.

    Well enough about that crazy female, i do not miss or love her any more...

    I just want my son to stay whit me the most, so i can take care of him, and give him a good life.

    Because she do not have her heart at the right place, to give him what he needs.

    I have won all 3 state government family cases so far, so i´m pretty sure i will win the last ones too.

    As i have been taken care of him, since he got born being home whit him.

    And i got he´s child home too.

    (yes i have not been working since he got born, and got no payments, but only been there for him).

    Found him a nursery care taker place etc etc, i have done all for him, while she have not.

    So even i have some hard days here and there, i keep him happy, kiss, dance, take him all over, zoo, play grounds, see family, friends whit there kid´s etc.

    (Plus i got a 4 year education as a pedagogue, social care taker, so i have worked whit kid´s in all ages for years)

     

    I can´t wait to get the 1mm sandy suit home, and start up.

    I like to assemble a beautiful suit, and take my troubles away while doing a suit.

    I love being creative, and focus on something beautiful.

    This will be my # third TM suit.

    I have in mind to get a TM as a ANH Stormtrooper too, and deploy your guys asap.

    But being a single dad. cost a lot, both time and money, so i can´t assemble as quick as i once could.

    glad you like it.

     

    I mounted them so that they are outwards, and I mounted them pretty high up actually

    near where my belt crosses my body.

     

    my belt actually has to be really tight to keep everything together...

     

    one weak point in my barrell shaped body!

     

    nice looking TM build by the way...

     

    Any way to find pictures of that? And thanks. It's a great kit!

    Yeah! Sweet TM goodness!

     

    The biceps are a bit large, I'd do what others did recently:

     

    re-open them, trim away an inch or more and close them back, it'll look much better! ;)

     

    Thanks! Yeah, I might do that, but I don't know if I got time to do it. But I too have thought of it, since I redid the thighs.

     

     

    Or.... I could do more pushups! :D

     

     

    screen accurate bicep gaps are fine.

     

    when a person has their arm hanging at their sides, the bicep has a gap, but when you bend your arm, it usually fills up the gap.

     

    I think you should lower your thigh straps about 2" you should have less gap between the shins and thighs. you can have a gap at the top and bottom, with a balance from the thigh, to the shin gaps... it's better if your legs have even spacing.

     

    the thighs just seem too pushed up high... lower them a bit, and it will make the suit more balanced.

     

    nice holster... that tan belt is nice, but I see way too many seams at the top and bottom... (my 2 cents)

     

     

    I think I just wore my waist-belt that keeps the thighs up a bit too high. But if that doesn't fix it, there's not too much trouble making new straps to hold the thighs up. I do think though that since I'm not very tall, I might have like one inch to spare before the thighs are so low they will keep me from walking by tangling with the shins.

    I suited up today for some photos. It's hard to do when you're alone, but I think I managed to get some decent pics. All I'm missing is the neckseal, which is in transit from TK409. Next weekend I'm meeting with the nordic garrison XO (or something like that) to sort out my application.

    In that case how did you attach the plastic part to the canvas belt?

     

    If you laid it all flat on the floor to mark out where you'll fit it together the plastic part will be too tight. The way to do it is attach in the centre first, then hold the belt in place and wrap around your body and then mark it at the end and fix one point and then do the same for the other end.

     

    This way the plastic part is ever so slightly slack when sitting flat on the floor but sits correctly on the body.

     

    I must have done that the wrong way then. Before I heat bended the belt, the canvas belt behind it was somewhat stretched when it was laid flat on the floor.

    Definitely! But now you have to shorten the drop boxes' elastic :P

    Good thing that's an easy fix. My elastic is glued with E-6000 to the back of the drop box. I can just rip it off and glue it back on again. :)

     

    Maybe I'll go and buy some heavier grit sandpaper to get the last millimetres off the top and bottom of the belt. But it feels like such a waste buying 4 (minimum in the closest store I've found) sheets when I only need half a sheet. Maybe I'll just keep going with the 600 grit that I have.
