Awesome stuff man! You're blowing us away with your TD.
Take care now. And good luck in the court (not that I think you'll need it).

Where did you guys put the tar and feathers?
-
Aww, that's such a pretty picture! Think he'll grow up a trooper? I most certainly do!

Looks awesome Rolf!
Take care now friend, save your energy for your kid.

Good job on the fitting!

BBQ ANY1?

I think the last photo shows off the difference between the painted helmet and hand plates compared to the off white of the armour brilliantly.
This is also the first picture where I see the knuckle indentations (right hand on right TK) in the hand plate clear as a day, compared to the other photos we've had up in various threads.

I was just jealous of all the comments you got for your haircut!
I'm glad to be of any inspiration

No i wouldn't, cause than you would see the grey primer under the paint and paintchips which the screen used armors not had.
Since it turns out the paint wouldn't crack, this has turned irrelevant, but you could use white primer if what you describe worried you.

The paint doesn't crack (at least Halfords White doesn't). That was something that surprised me when I painted my 1mm suit. The plastic flexed a lot and the paint flexed with it
Yes, that was unexpected. Did you flex the plastic both ways, bending it inwards, and outwards?
-
Unfortunatly, I didn't. Only German, a little English.....and Google
Google translate is getting creepy good at translating.

That realy fit's like a glove.
10 of 10 points
I also realy like the color of the painted armor, looks realy close, but don't the paint begin to crack while bending the parts when you move??
Wouldn't that be half the point? When you go through the trouble to paint and weather everything to look beat up and old. Wouldn't you want the paint on the armour to crack some?

Nice work Rich! Also, love your new hair!
The tape-thing for the inside was a really good idea.

Beautiful, Stephen!

Tack så mycket, Mathias!
When did you learn Swedish Karin?
Thanks for the link bro, we got the same shop here in Copenhagen as well
No worries mate!
Now that I dug through my stuff at home it turn out that it was exactly that same paint I had at home, just a smaller bottle.
As I said before, I worked great on my leather gloves, with a nice bonding and some flex, but will crack over time. Hopefully this will give a really natural looking "weathering".

Very nice Karin!

I've got something similar - it's what I used for the elastic on my boots.
Then you could try that

I believe the textile paint i mentioned is something like this, I recognize the bottle, -----

You could try the kind of slightly thick paint you paint motives on clothes, like t-shirts with. I've used that on leather gloves and it holds up nicely being slightly "rubbery", but does crack over time. Shouldn't cost much to give it a try. Instructions for my paint say the motive should be "hardened" by ironing on it with some towel or something in between, but I don't think that's necessary, especially since you want it to crack a bit.

"Measure twice, put on once" is the key!

Looks like the code cylinders an imperial disk on the cap are very good.
Great job!

Not fair! We're still ankle deep in snow
That's the right attitude! A trooper never backs now. And has no fear.
