  1. Keep your drop boxes close (touching) to the belt. That way, when they move, the belt stops them.
  2. Pro tip: You could leave them off for the photos and put them back on afterwards. I think the reasoning behind them being omitted from the ESB CRL is that there's to date no evidence of it, even if it would make sense.
  3. Much better. Thanks! I suggest that you in the future store images at imageshack or photobucket and link them from there with the -tags instead.
  4. That's hardly a close up. You can do better than 160x106 pixels
  5. Glad you got a response from them though. Let's hope the other one fares better.
  6. Search for threads related to the MRCE. It's the same helmet. It does require mods to meet standards. My tip would be to avoid it and get a real helmet kit to build instead. It's about the same amount of work, but yields a better end result.
  7. You can't go wrong with glue.
  8. That it does not have any bumps and other irregularities in it.
  9. I would recommend getting inner drop boxes for that extra touch. Many examples I've seen of people just using a sheet of plastic make it look a bit sloppy.
  10. Paul, I don't think anybody expects you to know the Centurion specs, and either way your screen accurate builds exceed them by far. But in case you're curious sometime, here's where we keep them. Centurion requirements include all the bullets, the black, blue and red. EIB is only black and blue. http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:FISD_CRL
  11. It is, and will always be for basic and EI. The only thing up to debate is Centurion. And any kind of official debate on the issue hasn't even started or even been planned yet. So what's your problem?
  12. Durr.. It's what I've been trying to say. It was glued on. Yes it fell off. Do you have any idea how crappy the original suits were? Fragile, thin plastic, not handled with care at all during filming. Used extensively in both tunisia and england for filming and then for promotion. How is this any surprise that things broke? Could you please stop trying to manipulate simple facts taken out of context in order to support your agenda? Rivets are allowed across the board right now. The only thing that has ever been up to debate is if they should be allowed for Centurion, a voluntary program designed for accuracy, not for trooping (although that's no problem either as there are multiple examples of).
  13. The standard allows for rivets for legacy reasons. It's how people always have done since the FX days. That does not mean that it's right or that there's a reasoning behind it. I also happen to have a young garrison mate of mine, merely 18 years old with an AP kit and his knee plate is glued on just fine.
  14. That is a TM kit yes. It's the 2 mm version. No reason why a 0.080 gauge AP could not be glued. Mine is just as stiff if not stiffer than the AP plastic.
  15. The MkII is pretty much only seen up close in the carbon freeze chamber. At least that I'm aware of.
  16. Can't find a better picture than this right now, but I might be able to take a few when I get home.
  17. I've had my knee plated glued for 2 years now without any problems. That's not strong enough?
  18. Kai makes great blasters.
  19. There are a few approved with riveted knee plates, and no one will loose their status if it is changed, but I would not recommend riveting your knee plate either way.
  20. The RS knee plate is a sculpt. Now where are those hole you're talking about?
  21. Now you're not making sense. Also, remember that we're talking about Centurion. If you don't like it you don't have to apply.
  22. Do show please. Either way, we know from the archive pictures that they were glued on without rivets. If the RS suit really had a rivet or two from repairs, that's irrelevant as their suit isn't the world. Allowing their suit to dictate all and everything we might as well allow Mr. No Stripes to the party.
  23. It'll hold up just fine. What do you expect yto be doing in your armour really? You're not supposed to play rugby in it. If E-6000 is strong enough to hold the rest of your amour together, it can hold a piece that receives little to no stress at all. And if not, it was more likely poorly glued on rather than a fault with the glue itself.
