  1. E-6000 leaves you plenty of time to adjust final position while it cures, it will also never come off unless you want it to. Just put a dab in the middle and a little on each side where it touches the shins.
  2. There are some air soft players that do historical characters, and then you need period weapons. But overall the market would be pretty small indeed. One comment I saw on facebook about the price which I found insightful is that since the sterling has such a unique shape, you can't use existing gearboxes and other parts, becuase they won't fit. So the company would have to custom engineer all the parts specifically for this gun. That drives up the price.
  3. Isn't bestine just a trade name? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petroleum_ether aka benzine & bensin among others. I used it to clean up my helmet to prep for painting after I removed the trooperbay decals I used before.
  5. That definitely sounds like rendering issues. So that's not something I can fix, it's an ipad issue. Not that this site or gallery was intended to work with mobile browsers anyway.
  6. It works fine for me (worst answer ever) in both firefox and chrome. But if anyone else also has issues, post them here.
  7. Of course it's do-able, it just takes a little extra work fitting the shins.
  8. That's probably just a rendering issue. Try to refresh the page. If that doesn't work, try a "forced refresh" with ctrl+shift+r
  9. Precisely. So why complain about the price for the airsoft? Those that can't get an MGC I'm sure are happy to accept that there are alternatives. Those that have MGC's aren't in the market for this one, so what they think of it is kind of irrelevant. Besides, while they seem to be aware that the sterling was used in star wars, they primary market is still airsoft players, which we are not. So we aren't even in their intended market demographics. IE, what we think of their product is worth even less.

  11. TM is a quality product made to be as accurate as he can make it. And it shows. TM might also be the most easily available replacement parts available, since he focuses on customer satisfaction. Also, yes, 5"6' or 5"7 is a little on the short scale for an accurately sized armour. Personally I'm 5"10' (and very slim, although irrelevant) and I consider myself to be at the short end of the scale.
  12. U-shaped, (most likely) aluminium channels.
  13. You're right about that. No movie blasters had that sight. I will dare to say it was master replicas that invented that black/red sight.
  14. That one is from ESB, and the reflex tape they used is pretty much common knowledge among those that pay attention. But still a nice photo.
  15. They are. ROTJ is different like that. It can also be seen in this promo shot: Also see http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/album/44-mgc-sterling-mk-iv/

    MGC Sterling Mk IV

The gun used as Stormtrooper blaster in ROTJ was a model gun replica of the Canadian C1 SMG, which was produced by the Japanese MGC (Model Gun Corporation).
