  1. Same with mine. Cover strip will hide it and so will the ammo band on the right
  2. Nothing has changed. Hasbros are still 501st acceptable and they are also EIB acceptable with a DOopydoos kit. The only place they are not accepted is for the Centurion badge. These tiers exist to give everyone a level of accuracy to strive for IF they so desire.
  3. Impressive.... Most Impressive. One thing you could do that would close up the black showing at your armpit area is shorten the strapping connecting the shoulder bells to your armor. Make the top tips of the bells practically touch the shoulder bridges. But thats just a personal preference. You look awesome either way.
  4. Very nice work! Congratulations
  5. Is this kit centurion approved?
  6. Wow! Fantastic work Rob. No seam on the Ab/kidney connection. Thats really awesome!
  7. Ordered up a E-11 blaster kit and some of Karin's hand gaurds. Then Ill be working on the finishing touches for EIB and Centurion badges. While I wait I will chill in the kitchen..... And bake a stuffed pork chop.....
  8. You are on your way! Don't forget proper Rotj greeblies for the blaster. Rotj e11 does not have hengstler counter either. Smitty here on the forums is who I got my greeblies From
  9. Congrats guys this is awesome! I want to get my t/mc in here soon! Just need an acceptable blaster before I submit
  10. Thats awesome Lou!
  11. Heres a few things quick Blaster (Doopydoos has full kits and Hasbro or pipe conversion kits) Leather holster (Can be found here in the Commisary) Belt (Commisary) Snaps (http://www.rochfordsupply.com/shop/Fasteners/Snap_Fasteners/Snap_Fastener_Buttons/index.html is where I get mine) Split rivets or brads A small sheet of ABS white plastic or HIPS for making snap plate. I got mine from a local sign shop. But some hardware stores will carry it. Accurate Hovi mic tips. I believe the AP ones are not EIB acceptable (Commisary) Replacement green tinted welding shield for the eyes depending on what the AP comes with. Any local welding supply house will carry these. Humbrol or Testors model paint for the helmet and ab plate details. Boots (TKboots) Fabric for strapping: 1 inch black webbing get like 10 feet to start. 1 inch black elastic 5 feet for sure 1.5 inch white webbing for the shoulder connections. Just need a foot or 2. Get some plastic weld too. Its nice to use on the inside of the armor in addition to the E6000 or whatever other glue you are using. I wouldnt use it too much on the outside as it can be visible and does "Melt" the plastic in order to do its job. Ill add more as I think of it. You will find that you always forget something and need to make another run to the stores. lol
  12. I think the Centurion program is going to evolve over time to include more details. But thats going to take polls and concensus and discussion first. As the requirments stand right now I believe Mathias has covered everything required. Nowhere does it state a cocking lever is a must have. Its certainly something worth adding in the requirments as a Should have at least. But right now its not clear. And Im sure knowing Mathias he will strive to get everything as accurate as possible. His work is top notch and Im sure hell add that detail. But for Centurion requirments as required right now hes a pass. Its also important for the program that troopers DO point out inaccuracies so that we can identify them for discussion in the hope that we continually improve our standards.
  13. It is a thing of beauty Mathias! Your attention to detail is remarkable!
  14. I guess its personal choice. But any ANH screen grabs you can find showing the back will have it cut off. -----
  15. Yep you cut it off the back only. You should have 5 small ribs on the front of the chest piece and the large flat rectangle. To hold the strap neatly in place at the back, a simple piece of thin white elastic is what they used in the movie.
  16. For ANH Stunt I believe you actually cut off that square on the back. Ill look around but Im pretty sure I read that somewhere here.
  17. what about chicago screws? I got mine from a supplier here in canada. Spaenaur. http://www.spaenaur.com/pdf/sectionC/C70.pdf But If you want I can mail you some. Ive got 100 and only needed like 4. 2 on my belt and 2 on the holster lol. Or a local hardware shop might have them.
  18. Ya it might be a combo of things. I did move the snap strap that holds the Bell to the underside of my shoulders forward about an inch. I will suit up again tommorow and see if that helped. Just looking at it I think it will. Thanks for looking Brian
  19. I really seem to have a huge gap between my chest and the shoulder bells. Granted I could rotate them forward more but that just makes the gap in the back larger. Ive been looking at alot of pics of other members and most suits dont have a gap like mine. Im an average sized guy, not overweight and pretty much perfect TK height. But something seems off to me. Maybe my bicep armor needs to be made smaller to allow the bells to come in closer? Anyone ever mod their biceps after assembly? Or have any tips for me?
  20. Went to town with some mad sewing skills and made up elastic loops with velcro on them to go over a belt Ill wear under neath the armor. They will hold up my thigh armor. Today I tried everything on. It all fit pretty good. Except for a couple things. First of all I want to replace the elastic strapping on the sides of the Ab and kidney plate to non elastic. Even though I fitted the elastic really tight it still allows a gap of about a 1/4 to 1/4 inch. I can tighten that up by using some non stretch strapping and snaps. Secondly the butt plate flares out at the ends. I need to do the same thing with it. Add some more snaps and non stretch straps to hold it tight. Any thing else you guys think I can do? Showing butt plate flare
  21. Heres some pics of the strapping system Im using. Its pretty much all snaps and black elastic. And the arms I only have the belt and some kind of garter system left to do.
  22. What kind of rivets do you use to attach the ammo belt to the canvas belt? Only rivets I have are pop rivets but It doesnt look like thats right from all the pics Ive been finding. Anyone know what I should be looking for at the hardware store?
