  1. Don't feel too bad about not know IMHO...I had to look it up myself. I guess I'm not "hip." Oh well. The side shim thing is an easy fix when you decide to do it. I just went to Lowes, bought a plastic sign and some industrial velcro, and solved the problem for about 5 bucks. Other than than, looks pretty good to me. Glad to see someone else going the ESB route.
  2. I think this is a good policy. I first tried to close my sides with canvas, and it just didn't look good. I got plastic sign material and closed mine, and to be honest, it's a lot easier to use than the canvas ever was, not to mention it just looks better.
  3. It kind of looks like that, but no...the Jedi were just swinging them around trying to decapitate me.
  4. After posting these pictures on my local garrison board and Facebook, I was so entertained by my running narrative that I thought I should share it with my fellow white-armor troopers. These are from a Cub Scout space derby today, where they raced homemade rockets. We began with a little skit, and all in all it was a pretty good troop. Enjoy! A lone TK enters, with the goal of arresting a dissident and restoring order to the Empire. He ensures that he has the right malcontent by asking for a name.
  5. You guys don't know everything?? Well, I guess I'll have to find some other people to pester with questions!
  6. That is above and beyond...my helmet is off to you, Terrell!
  7. I don't usually go for non-canon stuff, but I gotta say...nice job on that armor! It just looks mean!
  8. Congrats! Nice work...look forward to seeing the pictures.
  9. Very cool. I'm jealous...mine don't look that good!
  10. The pictures shown are not of an ESB blaster...it still has the hengstler counter attached. I'm not sure if they can take it off or not, but some of the feedback comments say that the ESB version is "closer to the AHN." Probably not a good sign.
  11. I love watching Star Trek, particularly TNG. One of the best Christmas presents I got this year was the Blu-ray set of the Next Gen movies...can't wait to put it on! I did run across one of those pages where people were debating whether the Enterprise could take on a Star Destroyer. I was surprised that most people seemed to give the Enterprise the win. I mean....it's a Star Destroyer...the peak of awesomeness...the fight would be legend (wait for it) dary!
  12. Great photos! Echoing Brian's question...how did you do the rotating shot? Very cool, and very entertaining. Good work, trooper!
  13. Nice! Gotta love the power of the Mac! Happy computing!
  14. The right side shim looks like it might need to be longer/more flexible with movement as well. Good progress, though!
  15. Man, considering what Oakley quoted me for custom sunglasses lenses, that must have cost a fortune! Cool idea, though. Seriously, I wear the Oasis Hydraclear contacts...they are the way to go. Very comfortable for long periods, and they're pretty reasonable on the pricepoint.
  16. My wife ordered me a Cushman DLT-19 for Christmas. I checked with a few folks and got positive feedback, so we'll see. I'll post some pictures and stuff when it gets here. She did say that they're pretty easy people to work with, so that's a good start!
  17. I use the UA HeatGear in the summer/hot months. It's pretty good, but of course still hot. You still have to contort to use the restroom, and, as has been said, anything heavy-duty you need to do means you take off all the gear.
  18. The way that Daertrin described the process sounds right to me...if you try, make sure you have a steady hand! It's not much fun, but do-able!
  19. You should be ok as long as the glasses went too big...just be careful putting it on! I'd start by putting the back on first then easing the front on. Fogging will definately be an issue, so try to find a good anti-fog spray or make a 50/50 baby shampoo water solution.
  20. Thanks for all the help from everyone. It certainly did seem like a lot of issue to work through! But after looking at the difference from when I first joined the 501st and now, the EIB route seems to be the right way to go. The accuracy is better, and the suit overall just looks more like it should. One other question. I still need to get a photo on my member page and one done for the EIB page. Who do I need to contact about getting the updates done?
  21. Ok, here we go...additional full-suit photos as requested. The blaster detail pictures are posted a little higher on this thread, so I assume I don't need to repost them here. I also just realized I forgot the thermal detonator, but you can also see that in previous pictures.
