Greetings imperials, I aim to join your ranks. My name's Henry, and hopefully soon I'll be trooping with the Southern Cross Garrison. As a fan of Star Wars (and specifically the Empire) for as long as I can remember, it's been a lifelong dream to wear the armour of a TK stormtrooper (I quite like the Rogue One look). As an ultimate goal I'd love to be a death trooper, though I'm not sure if that's too advanced to begin with (considering I haven't done this before). Additionally, I have the black series stormtrooper helmet, which I know is very much inaccurate but I'm very happy to modify it (I saw another post before about making it accurate to Rogue One, it involved some sanding and filling in gaps like speakers and battery areas, any ideas on what to fill it with, how to not electrocute myself with the electronic parts, and how to keep the colour through sanding?). As of now I'm in my final year of high school, towards the end now, so I don't exactly have much money to buy a kit for full armour yet (not that I know where to go) but next year in uni I'll be sure to get a job to finance my armour. For reference I'm 193 cm tall (which is about 6'3 for imperial measurements). Apologies about the long post, but I'm very excited to get involved and begin on my journey, any tips are GREATLY appreciated! For the Empire!

Hello, you can't just apply for centurion, you must do in steps. First if you are an approved Stormtrooper you need to request higher 501st/TK access Once approved you can then request EIB (Expert Infantry) Requirements for EIB and photos required (which must be posted on your application, not just a link) Once EIB approved you can then request Centurion

Hello Henry! Welcome to the FISD! Congratulations on taking the first steps towards realizing your lifelong dream! The key to this hobby are three things; research, research and lastly, you guessed it: research! The hardest part, I feel, is choosing what armor to go with. The Rogue One Stormtrooper is really cool, however compared to the Stormtroopers from the first two movies (A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back) you don't have a huge list of options when it comes to different makers. Considering that you are on the taller side, this thread could be a good read: Our staff member Torben @Tall_Trooper is 195cm tall, and his Expert Infantry/Centurion application is a good read! You can see how the armor looks on him here in this application and what maker he went with, if you're going for a Stormtrooper from the original trilogy (A New Hope/The Empire Strikes Back):

I forgot to add that I completely snapped the shoulder bridge in half. I have considered taking a small strip of abs and gluing it on the underside and then making some ABS paste to kind of... What's the word? Meld? Seal? I'm not sure how much I would trust this if it's flopping around though... You know I pretty sure that I have at least one piece but I'm not sure about the other piece come to think of it... I'll see if I can get the two together and take some pics

Why not just paint the bridges to match your armor? No shoulder bridges on a TD so all good there.
