  1. Slowly but surely we're cracking along. Everything is trimmed out but it looks like I am in need of some extra ABS sheets. Unsure what thickness etc. to buy. I will be grabbing the "421 boots" from KeepTrooping sooner or later. The biggest bit of update is I think I need to buy a new bucket. I've attempted to construct the brown helmet the kit came with, but it doesn't look right.. and I am honestly worried I will never match the paintjob to the rest of the armor. I was considering the RS Propmasters Stunt TK helmet. I'm hoping it'll match but no one in my garrison has that helmet for me to compare to. strapping comes soon, and assembling will start soon.

  4. Hey James, this is 100% an 850 kit - I have one myself but the only piece I'm using from it is the butt plate because it's slightly smaller than the KB ones. The spats are those flat pieces in the upper right of your first pic, near the helmet. IIRC they're meant to be "rolled". FWIW if you are missing any parts I'm happy to look at my kit and send you any parts you need if you'd be willing to cover shipping. The reason I ended up not really using the 850 is that the quality of the pulls was quite bad.

  8. Lucasfilm Event Invite May 14th Sharing for those that don't frequent legion forum More info or questions here https://www.501st.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=116831 LCS has received an invite for 15 troopers to attend the Mando premiere in LA at 7pm on the 14th of May. "Hello friends in the 501st Legion! We would like to invite your members to the premiere of THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU on May 14 in Hollywood, California! There are a very limited number of tickets and we'd like to give you the opportunity to be part of this special night! Please note this is an invitation to the event only. We are unable to provide travel or lodging. This invitation is intended for members of the 501st Legion only and is not transferable. A total of 15 tickets have been set aside for your members. The event start time is to be determined but check-in may start as early as 4pm. The event will send a final confirmation email with more information closer to the event. date. The screening itself will begin at 7pm (tentative). We strongly encourage your members to attend this event in their favorite Mandalorian costume or costume based on The Mandalorian show or The Mandalorian and Grogu movie. We want as many Mandalorians as possible! For those not attending in costume, please feel free to wear your favorite Star Wars clothing. A few notes for those attending in costume: All Mandalorian costumes (custom, Boba Fett, Death Watch, Din Djarin, etc.) are approved for this event, however we are unable to approve custom Mandalorian costumes that mix other IPs or theming (ex: Hello Kitty Mandalorian). Weapons Policy: no prop blasters or bladed weapons allowed. Lightsabers are the exception and will be allowed at the event. A changing space will be provided to those who plan to attend in costume. Guests will be able to change in costume prior to the start of the event and there will be an opportunity to change out of costume prior to the screening. Call time and location to be determined but the tentative call time is 3:00pm. Confirmation of the call time and changing location will be sent to attendees prior to the event." Now. here is how this will work. Fill out this google form with the required information. All entries must be complete by 11:59PM EST this Sunday. There will be NOTHING provided... No accommodations, no travel. You must get there on your own.. I hate to sound strict, but DO NOT fill out this form if you are a maybe... With the tight turn around time and extremely limited amount of invites, we have no opportunities for those with maybe. Again, I stress... If you are not 100% confident in your ability to attend please do not sign up. No shows could result in future reduction in opportunities.. Ok... now that the strict part is over... On May 4th I will use a random number generator to select the 15 people.. The numbers will correspond to the number of your position on the google form making selection completely random. The 15 selected will be notified here and will have until mid day on the 5th(12 noon EST) to confirm attendance. Anyone not confirming at that point will be removed and we will run the random generator again. Wishing everyone good luck. This should be an amazing experience! 9. KB's is normally white, also has his initials in the abdomen Backstage Props had a piece for the TD plate with a huge amount of left over material 850 Armorworks has the same back piece support and I can't say that I've seen a kit separated in the O II area. Full gallery of 850 parts here https://flickr.com/photos/183275210@N04/albums/72157710189842811/ There aren't very many detailed 850 build threads unfortunately, this one appears to have more info than others Searched "armorworks" https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/search/?q=armorworks&quick=1&type=forums_topic&nodes=161

  11. We can only use the photos we have, and only fix the errors we know are there. If you feel there is an issue with a CRL let us know. Tell us what is wrong and why you think so and we can look to fix it. Normally updating images is the hardest part as we need someone to build it then send us the image before we can update it.

  12. Whilst wet sanding as the prep for painting, you can also pause there for a moment to see if enough white comes back by the wet sanding alone - and if it does, skip the painting if you feel like it's enough!
