  1. Imperial Stormtrooper Helmet: RETURN OF THE JEDI (1983) 374. Imperial Stormtrooper Helmet Current absentee $75,000(1 bid) Estimate: $150,000 - $300,000 Starting: $75,000 Reserve not met Propstore Link An Imperial stormtrooper helmet from Richard Marquand's Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Imperial stormtroopers wore their standard-issue helmets throughout the film as they served the Galactic Empire, notably during the climactic Battle of Endor. Stormtroopers now rank among the most recognizable movie characters of all time. It is estimated that only around 50 helmets were produced for Return of the Jedi, with slight modifications and a somewhat more flattened appearance than the designs seen in the previous two films. This helmet was originally discovered in 1989 at a garage sale in Florida, and then brought back to the UK. Prior to the 1989 purchase, it had been painted twice, first in black and then in white. It has since been professionally restored, with the added paint layers carefully removed. The process of removing the outer layers resulted in minor scratching to the surface. Small traces of the previously added paint are still visible in certain crevices and on some areas of the main surface, as can be seen in the photos. The majority of elements on the helmet are original and unaltered. The main body of the helmet is constructed from vacuum-formed ABS plastic. The chin and mouth vent are finished in original black paint, as is the remaining paint on the ears. A black rubber trim runs along the brow and around the neck opening. Both the lenses and the various decals and painted detailing around the cheeks, temples, and back of the head are replacements, but the base helmet, all rubber trim, mic tips, interior liner, chinstrap are original. The helmet's interior features an elastic chinstrap and a plastic climbing helmet liner. "S. Burleigh" is handwritten in red ink inside the left cheek. The consignor tracked down Samuel Burleigh-an uncredited stormtrooper on the production-in 2020 and reunited him with the helmet; he subsequently autographed the interior in blue ink, along with the date "11-March 2020." Interestingly, Burleigh's sister Mercedes appeared in The Empire Strikes Back as a control room assistant on Hoth. The helmet exhibits wear from both production use and storage. The chinstrap has frayed and stretched due to age, and the rubber trim has cracked slightly. It also exhibits scuffs, scratches, and paint wear on the exterior of the helmet. Still, this is a great example of a film-used stormtrooper helmet with a fascinating history behind it. Estimate: $150,000 - 300,000 360 Degree link

  2. If I may make a suggestion, it would be to either use a low grit (80) sandpaper or a Dremel to remove the old glue and rough up the surface before reattaching the pieces and then give it a thorough cleaning, which will give you a fresh surface to apply the adhesive. I would especially do the top of the magazine well. The fact that it has no glue on it as seen leads me to believe that it may have had some residual mold release agent on it so the bond failed over time.

  3. Firstly bubble lenses are only required for ANH Hero or ROTJ I don't recall anyone attaching lenses/glasses to help vision, not much room in there. Some information "I do seem to remember Troopermaster TM selling bubble lenses that were flatter at the point directly in front of the eye so there is less distortion."

  4. I use black superglue for my rubber blasters. I've knocked parts off in the past and the black stuff keeps them on. I've never had the same part fall off twice. It's not just for the color, it has some rubber mixed into the glue or something like that. I've slept quite a few times since I learned about it and don't remember the exact specs. It's good stuff though. https://www.amazon.com/Medium-Thick-Premium-Cyanoacrylate-Leather-Woodworking/dp/B0DYPFS2GL This amazon link should have the good stuff. If it doesn't work or is blocked just search for "black superglue" on your favorite hobby supply site.

  5. I honestly believe I have probably one of the better complete Enoch's out there. I was meticulous in the build without (CRL or forum help). I did it all on my own. Im also the one who made the 1st commission from Delta Leather for the belt and Galactic Armory on IG for his one of a kind blaster the week the cardboard cutout came out. I like the character and was trying to accomplish the build by this DragonCon. I joined the 501st in 2007 and have moved several times (not to mention I work on the weekends making Troops difficult). But I still have the spirit of the legion regardless. If you see me come say Hi. I think you will appreciate my attention to detail. Not PERFECT but really good I promise...

  6. No doubt bud, don’t take my message wrong, but we supposedly can’t just wear an unapproved costume to an official troop, so was wondering how that worked as we are on a Legion forum thread. Now I understand you are freely wearing an Enoch costume as a Comic Con attendee, I hope you have a blast!!

  7. Let me change my statement then. I will be wearing a Captain Enoch costume I built at DragonCon in a week. I personally have tried very hard to create what I believe to be a really good costume.

  8. I will be debuting my Captain Enoch at DragonCon in a week. Been working really hard on it with the help of some creators/craftsmen. I will be having some Professional photos done by the official photographer Brian. I will be posting them on my Facebook as well. (Jason Till)
