  1. I think I'll start selling these as on option for my customers. I'm sick and tired of these batteries failing so fast. Thanks again for posting this Andrew. I know it's almost 10 years old, but it's a winner.

  4. Finding the 3.7 AA batteries down under are a lot easier to do than finding original Icomm batteries, I charge every 3 months or so but also keep a spare just in case.

  5. Just purchased my 3rd or 4th battery for mine, time to look into this mod. I wish regular AA batteries had enough voltage, we literally have 100s if not 1000s of rechargeable AA batteries laying around my work because of a unit we sell/certify that gets new batteries every time & the old ones just get put aside.

  8. Thank you Tony. It seems those that have made the mod themselves have had good success and many years of use with the external battery.

  10. I'm having trouble uploading images directly from imgur for some reason. It might be my phone. Life was hectic for a bit, but I'm on top of costuming again. I've attached what I would normally do for submission photos. If there isn't anything glaringly wrong, I'll upload photos of each individual armor piece. I have some armor pieces permanently glued together for convenience, so I'd like to take them apart again the last amount of times as possible to get those photos. I'd love to be the crl model of you still need one. https://imgur.com/gallery/PHXl6wJ

  18. Welcome Will! First of all, I want you to understand that all of us have been in your position. Excited to find something as mind blowing as 501st is but at the same time so overwhelming in the amount of information that is out there. Well also know that you are already doing the right thing which is researching and researching. It is super important and along the way you also make a lot of friends ;) My armor is a SDS (Shepperton Studios Designs) and believe me when I tell you that it took me a lot of sweat, blood and tears to prepare it for approval but I did it! and now I feel mega proud wearing it so I encourage you to follow the path you are taking. Welcome! Jason
