  4. It's very obvious the Anovos stuff is going to Galaxy's edge since it has the Anovos tag right on it, the Kylo Helmet, FOTK helmet and armor kit despite them claiming it was from a different supply chain which is just a bunch of crap It is also obvious our FOTK kits were used on the Rise of the Resistance animatronics. So a very big YES, Anovos sent our pre-orders to the parks and left us hanging. One interesting thing though was that on Sunday I was at Disneyland and there was no price sign on the Kylo helmet like before but I did not ask if they had any or not but to my surprise when I got home on Monday I had a shipping notice for my Kylo helmet that had been on order for over a year. And yesterday it arrived.

  6. Day 2 of work on the helmet. I need to paint the vocoder, and order my decals. I'm going to start work on the torso soon; any tips would be much appreciated. :)

  11. Suprised my cousins from NZ in the armour today the bicep straps have helped a lot with keeping them in position. I’m addicted to walking around town in my armour haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. Me too. I used mine to cut and trim 95% of my armor. If you're skilled with them, I say stick to using them! Looks really good to me proportion-wise. Good work! Even if it wasn't necessary, I think your TD looks much better with those minor trims. Little things add up. -Dana

  16. Picked up a cheap belt sander from Harbor Freight today, got to work cleaning up the greeblies. Will likely use this for the armor too, but I haven't seen those parts for a while since they're sitting in storage while I tinker on the resin. Progress! Trimmed back the extra resin on the clips and hand armor. Another dusty bit of work. Dry fit on the gauntlets looks like they check out. If I were to go slimmer, I would have gotten to the recessed detail. One of them got close, so I stopped here. Satisfied with the trimming, all the greebs get a soapy degreasing bath in warm water while I type this up. I'll be scrubbing them clean and they'll be ready for a 400 grit sanding to clean up excess flash before filler primer coats go down. Freshly cleaned bits for competed gauntlets and armored gloves. (and two noses). Next session will see these sanded to 400 grit and filler primed. Sanded. Filler primed, sanded. I'm pretty sure gloss black is the next step, but I think I'm going to get all parts to sanded primer and assembled to fit. Once assembled and wearable, minor surface touch up followed by gloss black and chrome. Huzzah, another step in the marathon.

  18. Great. I do like this forum. Another reason for foam rubber is in fact (oddly enough) the very lack of detail. We have very strict weapon laws where i live, and something that looks like a prop or fake (at least to the trained eye) could actually make my life easier. Also, i have read comparisons between resin and foam rubber, and don’t want anything too fragile. As long as it bears scrutiny from a few foot, then I’m good with it. Oh, then there’s the nipper. He’s already running around with a foam rubber DL-44 I bought, making blaster noises. Don’t see why he shouldn’t do the same with an E-11. I want to get him good and imprinted Thanks, guys. As always, properly useful information
