Well....Its here. 2 years and 7 months waiting. I'm going to attempt a build thread here to document my progress and maybe help some others along the way. I'm a noob so I'm sure I'll be learning just as much as well. I will be building this for TFA and NOT TLJ so there will likely be some mods along the way. Also, I will be putting this together using a mix of the Anovos instructions which can be downloaded from the website and Ukswraths build thread. (A staple in my opinion) Since this is an upgraded kit, there will be plenty of differences. Feel free to chime in with any advice. I promise to respect and treat it as just that. Advice. Thanks in advance!!! Ok.....so.....Here we go!!!!1 point

The family of Peter Mayhew, with deep love and sadness, regrets to share the news that Peter has passed away. He left us the evening of April 30, 2019 with his family by his side in his North Texas home. Peter was the man behind the mask of Chewbacca in the original Star Wars trilogy, episode 3 of the prequels, and the New Trilogy. He fought his way back from being wheelchair-bound to stand tall and portray Chewbacca once more in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He also consulted on The Last Jedi in an attempt to teach his successor. He put his heart and soul into the role of Chewbacca and it showed in every frame of the films from his knock kneed running, firing his bowcaster from the hip, his bright blue eyes, down to each subtle movement of his head and mouth. But, to him, the Star Wars family meant so much more to him than a role in a film. The relationships that began then grew into the friends and family that he would love for decades to come. As the films released and became more well-known he had his eyes opened to the possibilities of what he could achieve with his role in the Star Wars universe. For more than 30 years Peter travelled all over the world spending time with his fans and friends. Peter developed lifelong friendships with the other cast members and his fans while on the convention circuit touching the lives of millions. As he realized over the years the impact he could have, he became heavily involved with the 501st legion, Wounded Warriors, Make-a-Wish, and other non-profit organizations. To this end, he established the Peter Mayhew Foundation, supporting everything from individuals and families in crisis situations to food and supplies for children of Venezuela during their recent road to freedom. He not only provided funds but became personally involved with each individual, family and cause he supported. As he grew older he continued to “soldier on” as he put it and was completely in his element around his fans and supporters. He grew great strength from the energy of his family, friends and the fans he knew and loved. He is survived by his wife Angie and three children. His kindness, generosity and care will live on in the Peter Mayhew Foundation with Angie taking the helm as his voice. There will be a memorial service for friends and family held on June 29th and in early December in Los Angeles there will be a memorial for fans set up with his family in attendance, personal effects, and collection at EmpireConLA. For additional information, information on the memorials or to offer condolences email [email protected] Rather than gifts and flowers the family asks that you consider donating to the foundation so that they can continue his efforts to help the community. Ok first up repainted the tube strips... I wore my Armour for a bit today walking about on my balcony to get a feel and to make adjustments... Ad to chest plate left side (Facing me) needs adjusting..,, next adjustments required thighs... when people say Armour bite I have no idea lol after walking about I now know.. lol More shaping of the thighs are required. at the moment they are to round. Big thighs from years of service ;-) (edit) hot bath I think A good 2.5 cm give there, currently they are touching as you can see from this pic my idea was to hot bath them and flatten them a bit (edit) Fronts they stop just above my knee. adjustment so it all lines up. (edit) Left shin adjustment to line up, under suit required.. shins molded to my weird calf's.. no hooks attached yet. with the bra hooks and foam the shins do not move... left left side picture.. to do the cut out piece on the kidney both sides... Strap on the side top of the kidney to pull the ad part in more.. Right side kidney cutout required.. white elastic missing from shoulder straps.. forearm adjustment only have one here cause I clued the poppers on my other arm the wrong way round, do not drink and build.. will have to wait 24 hours torture.. I am not happy with the forearms I think i need to trim more of the wrist and then redo the forearms and allow more elastic from the bicep to the forearm for more moment... checking movement and and dressing issues that might occur.. lots of walking the thighs are killing me, they are rubbing against each other right side hurts more than the left happy with the shins not moving once I clip the straps on (Bra hooks) did some climbing on a step was manageable .. Things to buy or do... E11 I have a doodpy doo but that takes time I feel like its a journey to make and tradition.. Neck Seal the next seal I have is good but it feels like i need to have Velcro on the bottom to make it feel flat for me anyways I cant really see if its flat etc I am thinking I like one with a bigger bib or part of the under suit itself Undersuit I need a decent under suit, I have uniglo and my sports under suit at the moment looking like a mine artist. Fans / Cooling System OMG you defo need to have fans unless you live in a cold climate (A camel pack would be good or a drinking system of some kind) Gloves I have glued my hand guards to my gloves however I am not 100% satisfied, is there anywhere that sells them already glued? Need to get cotton undergloves due to the sweat.. will await feedback before making any adjustments tomorrow. slow progress on the DLT-19..1 point

Yeah!!! Finally have some color on my bucket!! Ok, now that that excitement is over... I want to check with y’all focusing on Centurion level details. I added more black border on the ears to match the other areas, painted the screws white again after having to readjust the ear screw lines to be in line with the top/front traps. First coat of #14blue for the tube stripes. Sooo, how does everything look? Tube stripes look right (I know it’s hard to tell with the template still on)? Gap between ears and bucket ok? Teeth ok? Anything not Centurion level please let me know.1 point

Yes. But if you are doing ESB, you will need to swap out the scope to a M19 (if you are bend on getting it accurate). Find @bulldog44 on this forum, he makes amazing resin replica kit of both M19 and M38 scope, direct from Japan. What you won't be needing from the kit is the Hengstler Counter and the Power Cylinders, you can toss them on the sales section here and look for a buyer.1 point

No good ever come from purchasing armor from eBay. That’s a big NOTHING. Red flags are the pictures aren’t that good which means he’s hiding something. It’s fiberglass which is a pain to work with and you can’t easily fit it to your body after it’s already put together. It’s $250 when most armor is closer to the $700 range and above. Have a look at the vetted vendors section and start there. If it’s too good to be true it is. Hopefully your not the one that bought it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point
