rapstertee Posted February 3, 2009 Report Share Posted February 3, 2009 I simply sprayed my TD canister with grey primer - after all it wasn't painted in 1977, they used standard british pvc pipe, which comes in a mid-grey very close to that of the humbrol grey. looks fine. But some say its #48, they used as for the tube stripes. What was used, the 14 or the 48. Seems like some ANH helmets, was also painted whit #15 and not only the ab plate. Cheers mate http://www.tonybarnett.plus.com/anhref.html Rolf Its an hard one to nail down 100% because paint fading / aging over the years on the orignals, and also lighting in photos or on film can change the shade as we see it.
