Need for a Stunt and Hero versions

I have recently undertaken the build for an rotj version of a TK.  In doing the build my helmet was judged to be out of order with thw crl.  However, i believe that this is a possible area where the detachment is not acknowledging the wide scope of TK helmets that actually appear on screen in the film.  I believe that the build and focus to this point in time had been on "bunker" troopers that were produced en mass for filming.  During close ups of tk's its clear that better versions of the helmet in particular were used.  I suggest that the crl be modified or split i to something similar to the hero and stunt versions used by other movies or "bunker" troopers and garrison or "station" or some other designation that ia fitting.as a photo of a more streamlined helmet used in close ups i submit the photo of the tk from rotj that has luke in custody. Thanks and i look forward to being part of a team that can address this.

Stunt and Hero was more for the distinctive difference of Stormtroopers in A New Hope, not just a helmet difference. We even know that ESB used left over helmets as well as some new ones BUT we don't have variants in that CRL.

If i understand this correctly then, following the "screen used" doctorine that supports actual screen supports if its on screen and it is cannon varient helmets can be used if supported with correct documentation.

I would agree with this statement, but it is up to your GML whether they will approve it at basic. We have no jurisdiction over their call, and can only offer advice.

 

They certainly have a means to ask the detachment through the Legion forums and will get answers from the DL, XO and DCA's  if they feel they need it.

 

CRL's are not written to the level of prop replication, nor do we have a level like MEPD that asks for that level of detail. {Pick one on screen and make it look exactly the same}.

 

Generally CRL's are written to have the best common representation of what is seen on screen, not a one-off, or missing part, gaffer tape and the like.

For many detachments and Legion, it's about being as uniform as possible and trying not to overcomplicate a CRL, specially for entry to the 501st.

There were no close up hero helmets used in ROTJ . They were all the same ,just each one was weathered  slightly differently.
