It just wont flex, I would reccomend putting velcro or magnets in the receptacle to hold it and just make it detachable rather than flipupable if that makes sense.

I printed at test of the forearm in PLA at 50% and it looks more wierd (to me anyway) in the slicer than finished print. It was a bit stuck at the wrist but that could be "cracked open" and it flexes just fine in order to get your hand trough. in theory that is as it was at 50%.

I had a friend who has meshmixer and he couldn’t open it, he also tried blender and freecad. The base helmet file that is. I havent’t had time to check all the files yet. 

 

 

Edit: Checked and I can open all the files exept the helmet base file.

Sly reported this issue too, havent had this before. May have been a crash during export, looking into it now. WIll have fixed shortly
