ThoseRtheDroids Posted January 3, 2025 Report Posted January 3, 2025 So I’ve been toying with the idea for years and I’m finally in a place where I’m ready to get my first TK armor. I’ve been reading a lot on the blogs and all roads led here for advice. I’m hoping this group can get me off to a good start, really I’m looking for approved 501st quality armor and helmet, no recast … authentic design with quality plastics. I have a Lorica Segmentata, Roman armor already, I’ve made a lot of alterations to it over the years. Enough to say I’m very good with DIY and craftwork. thanks in advance! 1 Quote

Nairy[Staff] Posted January 3, 2025 Report Posted January 3, 2025 Hello David and welcome to the home of all things Stormtroopers! You're in the right place! Congratulations on finally being able to become a 501st Stormtrooper! Which armor are you interested in getting? The original trilogy or sequel trilogy? Quote
Sithping[TK] Posted January 3, 2025 Report Posted January 3, 2025 Hi David, welcome to FISD! Where are you based, USA, UK, Europe, Asia...? Try and find your local 501st Garrison/squad and introduce yourself on their forums, it can help lots finding some local knowledge and potential new friends. Quote
JBar[TK] Posted January 6, 2025 Report Posted January 6, 2025 Welcome! The first step is to find out which Garrison you live closest to. Your local garrison is region based. Each costume is part of a Detachment (such as the FISD here) and both are amazing resources. Your local Garrison will help you with joining the 501st and this Detachment has a wealth of resources throughout the forums. Of course people close to you I'm sure also have experience. Stormtroopers are about as iconic as you can get so there's lots of knowledgeable people able to help Quote
Shanester[TK] Posted January 6, 2025 Report Posted January 6, 2025 Welcome aboard future trooper! Quote

I’m old school, interested in ANH / ESB. Maybe a more weathered look. 1 Quote
