Butt plate/ lower back plate overlap??

It looks like I will have over lap on my lower back plate. Is that okay or do I need to trim it to fit so there is no overlap?

Hi Robert, you don't need to trim . 

 

Add the additional snaps aligning the Cod with the Kidney.  When you suit up the lower armor follow the contour of your body.

Also adding V tabs can help keep the butt plate from overlapping

 

With a heat gun (oven / hot water bath) you bend strips of ABS plastic into the shape of a V, only glue one side and the other remains free to allow movement when you bend. Just helps stop the butt plate from pushing back from the back plate.

I haven't had much luck with bending ABS, but have found these work well to accomplish the same thing and with a little dab of epoxy on the butt plate side only, are now a standard addition on suits for me!
