TKCaleb
I was just wondering what type of vinyl should i go with to make vac form molds out of? Should I go with the Kind that rubies used to make that P.O.S. deluxe stormtrooper armor with? I want something flexible and durable and long lasting. john danter
I thought their stuff was spun moulded vinyl? Why dont you just use ABS to be safe. Not many of us have experience with vinyl so may not be able to help. ABS on the other hand....
SuperTrooper
While I don't know much about forming plastic, I do know that anything containing vinyl, even PVC, is very toxic when heated. I'd stick to ABS or HIPS/styrene.
VacTrooper
he's right. PVC is NASTY stuff. don't use it to form aromr. use ABS. now, ABS is also pretty narly, so ventilate your work space... HIPS is the friendlier stuff.
