Butt Plate Snaps

Two questions:

 

-Did I space these out to much? Does spacing matter or do they just have to be present?

-Is the male end supposed to be showing?

Aiming for centurion.

Spacing looks OK to me but you need different caps (the ones with the holes), as per the CRL photo:

Looks like you have simply used the wrong half of the snap is all. That looks to be the female half where it is the male side to be used.
