Ab > Kidney Gap Requirement?

Recommended Posts

Would a 2-3 inch side gap between my ab plate and kidney plate disqualify me for EIB and/or Centurion approval?   Is there a maximum gap in inches specified or do they have to be touching (or have a mending plate between them)?

Thx

Joe

All the requirements are on the CRL:

http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_stunt

For level two certification (if applicable):

Any gap between the abdomen and kidney armor is no more than 1/2" (12.5mm) wide.

Any shims used to achieve this effect are of a similar material and color as the abdomen and kidney armor. Shims fit flush and seams are allowed.

For level three certification (if applicable):

Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor.

A single visible seam line is present.

Curious... I'll have to shim my gap as well. If a shim is used where are the six Rivets installed on the left side? Thanks!
