Daniel-Thanks for all your help!

I have decided my thighs don't like me on this build, Grrrrrrr!! After a few whirls at assembling, and disassembling...finally have the LEFT front where I want it...I think. Still need to redo the RIGHT. Need to peel glue for a while

be2799bbdaa6042ac6df2098421968a5.jpg

I measured my thighs with a soft cloth tape, one is 26.5, other is 27.25....(holy moly!!!). I plan to use a thin plastic for sale sign underneath, and fill in the gaps, and put a cover strip over it.e48f5ad73a1edaa7114046e5a9589023.jpg2b1eb5571a9bc2593cbb99105ee9b4e7.jpg

What can I do about the pre-cut line out there that will show on the top 2-4 inches? 23532b2ab4ac18ecf51721d0d2f79aa4.jpg

The thighs were tricky for me too. Just barely big enough to fit. Perhaps some ABS paste will fill in that line? I know it's a bunch more work but I've seen great results on the forum from people who have used it.

Just now, Sean said:

I also lost the entire return edge all the way around the top of my thighs. Otherwise they would be too small. They are snug t the top as it is.

Thanks! I took off a little, but I will lose it all once this dries. Thanks for being so helpful! #BroHug

Troopers helping Troopers!:duim:  You may be able to have a slightly smaller cover strip when you lose all the return edge. Remember, return edges are not required for any level of certification. Make it fit well and make it as comfortable to wear as possible, especially the top of the thighs. Don't want any pinching there.

I hope removing it will help. I’m struggling with one thigh being almost 1 inch larger! (Geezzzzzzz!) Lol. This one after I re-glue it will only have a 8mm gap, and the strip will cover the template cut line. Bahaha! d0006b373ea9cb392af9e4b3720cab72.jpg

Yes, I don’t miss the frustration of putting on my sniper knee plate- awesome job! If you like, you can fill the underside using white silicone to fill that space. ( to smooth it out you can use a damp finger [spit or water - take your pick])

Hi Mike, great work with your build.

About fitting your calf , what I did was:

1- overlap the calf posterior section till I felt confortable and they looks good in the mirror and fix then with painters tape.

2- with a white board maker I draw a line in the center of  both pieces.

3- Cut straight from top to botton.

4- I glued the cover strip and finally glued the velcro.

I made an example at may office using a piece of paper. hope i'm doing clear.

And placed the cover strips and velcro.

Hope this can help you.  and note that the calves rest on you boot and you can add some velco in the inner front to avoid them to twist.

cheers

Thank you! I’m gonna go with the fitting I just did and see what happens. Won’t be the first time I have pulled it apart! Lol.

As for the fronts, can I just round them off?
