Tried the eye shadow technique with weathering my trooper. Is this too much?

Spot-on, Josh!  Not too much, not too little.  If you use a helmet bag, (especially the fleece lined type) and plan on trooping occasionally as a regular TK, be sure to put your bucket in a plastic bag first, as some of the black will rub off.  GREAT job!

Looks great!  I've got the eye shadow on my workbench...just waiting on my blaster and pack to get started!
