The_Troopers FX Building progress[*FX]

Recommended Posts

Well yesterday my FX kit arrived and boy what a great feeling! :P

I have waited for about 5 weeks for it to arrive here in The Netherlands.

I unpacked it like it was a christmas gift, also this is my first kit so if i need any advice this is the place.

Parts i have so far:

- FX Armor kit

- MR CE ANH Helmet

- Canvas Belt ( Firebladejedi's )

- Neckseal

- Red Rank-Pauldron that came extra with the kit

- Underclothing

I only need some good boots and a blaster.

Since this is my first ever kit, iam planning on making it a solid and good looking armor, my dad will help me assemble this kit.

Also i have checked many other armor forums, which ofcourse have alot of good armor construction tips and tricks.

Pictures will follow soon, keep watching this topic and if i need any help i will definalty ask!

Cheers,

Berry ( The_Trooper )

Second that. Take your time and enjoy the process. I spent some late nights building my TK, the lost sleep was definitely worth it!

Nice kit! Everything looks great...except, you'll need to order some new

tube stripes for your CE Stunt bucket. (Ebay)

Also, you've got some other work to do on it as well, like filling the

seam with DAP White Seam Filler, and also changing the screen

behind the mouth. The lenses need to be swapped out for darker

green lenses too.

Nice stuff by the way...I look forward to seeing it all put together!

Did your kit come with the FX lid?...

Looks great, but a quick question? How high do you have the MRCE sitting? Seems like you have a lot of space between your shoulders and bottom of the bucket (on the profile)? Checked mine, and I don't think it has the same distance? Not sure if I have a shorter neck then you, but it just seems very high to me in the pictures you provide.

Suit looks great thought!

Cheers,

DD.

How tall are you? I'm just wondering cause i'm on the tall side myself, about 6'2'' to 6'3'' and i was taking another look at your pics, don't know if it's the armor or what, as i don't have one of my own yet, but the biceps look a little high. But maybe someone who ACTUALLY has armor can explain that to me if i'm incorrect, it could just be that it's a flaw in the FX kit.

No, he just strapped them a little high. Lower about an inch or two and it'll look just fine. Great job so far - I'm redoing my FX Black TX at the moment, so I feel your pain. ;)
