Blaster help

Recommended Posts

So I did my TK research and ordered my armor kit now starts a whole new adventure....the blaster.
Can someone fill me in on the appropriate blaster or point me towards a blaster kit? Maybe I can get started on that while I wait on the armor.

If you are in Canada. you contact Mark at AP he can give you the info for a guy named Brett who makes blaster. 170$. HFX is a good maker for people in the States... Very solid looking blasters of all types (ie: E-11, DLT-19 etc). Doopydoo makes a conversion kit for the toy blasters so there are quite a few options.Ā

Doopydoos (www.doopydoos.com) is a very widely used kit. Ā It is very simple and straight-forward, but allows for a great deal of modification to meet the builder's own tastes along the way.

Ā

Simply want to glue the parts together, and paint it flat black? Ā Perfect kit for you.

Want to trick it out, modify it extensively, and make it truly one of a kind? Ā Perfect kit for you.

Ā

Definitely worth looking in to it. Ā :D

Are both permissible for Centurion?

Ā

Ā

Doopydoo is not, Hyperfirm is ...

Ā

Um, Doopy Doos must be the most widely built blaster in the detachment, most certainly Centurion accepted if built half right

E-11 Blaster
For 501st approval:
Manufactured by BlasTech Industries, the E-11 is standard-issue for many Imperial troops. Light, compact yet powerful, the E-11 blaster is always in high demand throughout the galaxy.

Based on a real or replica Sterling sub-machine gun, scratch-built, or a modified commercial toy Stormtrooper blaster.

For level two certification (if applicable):
Folding stock (does not need to function).
A real or replica ammo counter - based off of a Hengstler counter - shall be present.
D-ring mounted on the rear.
Sterling based blasters have the correct M-38 or M-19 style scope.
Two power cylinders on the magazine housing.
Scratch-built, resin cast, Hyperfirm rubber cast blasters shall have a total of 6 T-tracks on blaster (leaving the lowest row on the magazine housing side uncovered).
If using the Hasbro E11 toy blaster, it is modified to have the correct number of T-tracks (6 total), with a lower row of open vent holes on the magazine housing side.
This is accomplished by covering the pre-existing rows of holes with T-tracks, then grinding off the lower integrated T-track on the magazine housing side, and drilling a new row of holes in its place.
No ESB/ROTJ greeblies are allowed on the blaster.
For level three certification (if applicable):
Hasbro blasters are not allowed, even conversions.

According to CRL above, conversions and hasbro blasters are not centurion approved...

Ā

Hasbro blasters are not allowed, not even converted Hasbros.

Ā

Doopy kits are not considered conversions

Ā

You don't have to look much further than the current Centurion applications. First 5 (I didn't bother looking any further) are ALL doopy kits

DoopyDoos full kits are fully approvable for Centurion level.

Ā

There are a number of kits sold by DoopyDoos

Ā

The full kit, 100% resin when delivered, is approvable.

Ā

The conversion kit, does not make a toy approvable.

Doopy also has a pipe build kit, which means you supply a piece of PVC pipe or similar for the barrel at the specified diameter and drill the holes and mount the resin parts to it. This is also approved to Centurion lvl.
