meekerscott Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) Been staring at the order I'm waiting for on this trooper gear and already picking it apart. Wondering if anyone has any concerns about the low brow or "headband" on some helmets (especially Anovos) have a very low brow, whereas others don't. The original has it up so high that it looks like the white around the eyes look like goggles built into the helmet. This is the only picture I have of the Anovos helmet and it's only at one angle. Has anyone, noticed or been concerned about this detail? Edited January 9, 2021 by gmrhodes13 photo updated gmrhodes13 2021 Quote
allan1313[TK] Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 I am certainly no expert, but just seeing these pictures it's hard to tell since they are at different angles. To my untrained eye it looks good. Quote
Brandon Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 I think you will want to look for more recent reference for the anovos helmet. That pic looks like the one thats still on their website which is just the months-old "prototype" Quote
MClass Posted September 7, 2015 Report Posted September 7, 2015 The low brow can be adjusted during the building process. Keep in mind the brow height varied quite a bit on the real original helmets used in the films. Some had low brows and some had really high brows. It really just depends how how the faceplate and rear "Cap & Back" sections are joined. Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted September 8, 2015 Report Posted September 8, 2015 The rotation angle of the faceplate can only go so far before it makes an impact on how the neck opening works. Quote
jkno Posted September 8, 2015 Report Posted September 8, 2015 (edited) Interesting to see my RS Stormie helmet picture above Edited January 9, 2021 by gmrhodes13 photo updated gmrhodes13 2021 Quote
meekerscott Posted September 8, 2015 Author Report Posted September 8, 2015 (edited) Yep, to me, the RS and the Shepperton look the best. Honestly. So does the TM helmet. I guess I'm just nit-pcking that detail. Everyting else about tghe Amor looks fantastic. Hopefully, that's how it will end up when I'm done building it. This picture looks a bit more reassuring. Pencap510 Posted September 8, 2015 Report Posted September 8, 2015 Knowing that there was such a diversity in the films with where the brow line sat- I think it boils down to preference. I prefer the low brow- it looks "meaner" - more menacing to me. Quote
