A Master Builder Posted October 11, 2014 Report Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) I've went back to trim my coverstrips for the TK. I went over to walmart and picked up some e6000 not knowing that when I got home I opened it and the glue was black. Known as "negro black" is anyone familiar with that? I've heard its used on e11s but is it safe to glue coverstrips onto the armor? brenton Edited October 11, 2014 by A Master Builder Quote
Starfox2010 Posted October 11, 2014 Report Posted October 11, 2014 You mean Negro/Black = Spanish/English. I would just use it on the blaster. If you use it on the armor it might smudge and look bad. See if you can return it for an even exchage on a clear one. 1 Quote
geronika Posted October 11, 2014 Report Posted October 11, 2014 I did the same thing, they also have white. I ended up using the black on parts that don't show which was the interior snaps for strapping. I wouldn't use it for cover strips because there is always some that oozes out. Quote
walt[501st] Posted October 11, 2014 Report Posted October 11, 2014 From what i know....Very little, as my wife tells me...The colored E6000 dont hold the same....what do you guys think Quote

Dark CMF[Staff] Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 I've got black E6000 holding the faceplate on my Hengstler counter of my E-11 (the one with the working button) and it doesn't appear to show any signs or indications of being any weaker than the white/clear versions. Just for what it's worth. Having said that, I further concur that I wouldn't put it anywhere on the outside of my armor. Too much oozing, and it does dry a nice shiny black. Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 I like it in white for armor. fool proof. I still use clear tho. Quote
walt[501st] Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 Could be i just got a bad batch? Quote
bdgr[501st] Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 I've recently used all three; clear, white, and black E6000 on various armor and resin greeblie parts and didn't notice any strength differences when I physically had to pull some of the items apart. Quote
A Master Builder Posted October 16, 2014 Author Report Posted October 16, 2014 Thanks for the feedback everyone! Quote
