SaturnGypsy[TK]
Taking the plunge on the helmet. It's totally baffling me but I think I'm finally on the right track.
Locitus[Admin]
I do almost all of this on my phone using Tapatalk. It's really a pain to do anything else. Does this forum have a limit on pic uploaded? Yes it does. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
SaturnGypsy[TK]
So this is what happened. Going to have to rip this apart and try again. Maybe use super glue or something that set faster. Gotta say. Not a fan of the three part helmet.
SaturnGypsy[TK]
Attempting the faceplate. This thing is a pain.

Locitus[Admin]
Why did you trim the ab plate like that? It's supposed to have the wide flat area around it to hold the glue to the ab.

What are you talking about? I didn't trim anything off the ab plate.
Locitus[Admin]
It looked like it in this picture. By ab plate I mean the bigger plate with the 5 buttons on it.
SaturnGypsy[TK]
Ah ok. I see what you mean. I did trim that. It did not fit over the box molded on the ab otherwise.
Locitus[Admin]
Ah ok. I see what you mean. I did trim that. It did not fit over the box molded on the ab otherwise. That was a mistake. It's supposed to sit on top of the moulded ridges, not inside them. Next time you are wondering about something like that; ask us. Or at least look at some reference pictures in our gallery (http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/)
SaturnGypsy[TK]
I think it looks fine as it is. It may not be 100% screen accurate but I think it looks fine. Thanks.

SaturnGypsy[TK]
About to give up on the bucket. So frustrating.
SaturnGypsy[TK]
I don't see how the ears can possibly fit.

SaturnGypsy[TK]
Well I need a new ear. Totally mangled the left one trying to get this to work. Hopefully I can get one. Pretty much dead in the water until I do.
Obey Wann[501st]
Is the rest of your kit done? Good luck with the bucket. :-/ BTW, have you heard anything from them about decals?
SaturnGypsy[TK]
Is the rest of your kit done? Good luck with the bucket. :-/ BTW, have you heard anything from them about decals? Yes, the rest is pretty much done. Still need to do some of the strapping. And possible some trimming of return edges for a better fit. Nothing about decals specifically for the NE helmet. I bought a set that are for AM/FX and I think they will fit. But I haven't applied them yet so I don't know for sure.
SaturnGypsy[TK]
As you can see... Terrible. I'll need a new ear.
SaturnGypsy[TK]
Another brown box today! It's my E-11 kit I bought from Palpatine1977! Can't wait to get started. Edited June 1, 2013 by SaturnGypsy
Pencap510
So I'm getting my NE kit delivered in about 6 -7 days. I can't friggin wait to get started! Do you mind if I ask about sizing? I'm 5-11 180lbs and I've heard this kit comes REALLY big- Was there a lot of trimming necessary so far?
