pattrooper Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 What is the best glue to keep the neck seal on the bottom of the bucket? I have used model glue which worked for a while. I have e6000, but would that be to strong...any suggestions because it is a hassle putting it back on when i take my bucket off. Quote
NoVATie[Admin] Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 Are you talking about the ribbed neck seal to cover your throat or the neck trim that runs around the bottom of the helmet? If the neck trim is fitted properly it shouldn't need to be removed every time the helmet comes off. Quote
pattrooper Posted November 18, 2012 Author Report Posted November 18, 2012 the trim at the bottom of the bucket, it fits properly but i guess my fat head pulls it off. Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 5 minute epoxy glue is quite strong. I haven't had to glue mine as yet, I left about an inch over what I needed for the helmet and after it was fitted the tension seems to hold the rubber in place. I do take my helmet off sideways but that's mainly of the electronis inside, can catch on my ears. Quote
Dday[501st] Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 I have used CA glue, just a small drops in a few locations will keep it steady. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 No glue at all. If you have a little bit more than you really need you can compress it and it stays put by itself. Quote
Dday[501st] Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 On my TM helmet I didn't glue it at all, it just stays there unless I accidentally twist my hand on it, but it goes back in easily. Quote
Darth Hilarious Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 mine used to fall off often, E-6000 fixed it Don't forget to rough up the surface first if you glue Quote
Darth Aloha[Admin] Posted November 18, 2012 Report Posted November 18, 2012 I have used CA glue, just a small drops in a few locations will keep it steady. Mine didn't stay all that well on my RT bucket. I used a few drops of CA glue as well.... but E-6000 would have been smarter. -Eric Quote
