How should flexible hand guards be glued CORRECTLY?

Recommended Posts

Since this topic came up, I'd like to continue it here and to share my insights

Standard style (aka "stunt")

Just protruding a little over the first knuckles, front part not glued. This provides stress relief.

Alternative style (aka "hero)

Glued all the way around, protruding clearly over the first knuckles. they're bigger, but thinner, thus they're more stretchy.

I'll provide pics soon, my connection is a little slow right now.

I used black silastic, very strong and flexible, added up to the edges and it is holding very well when flexed. I may add that I scuffed the back of the guards and the gloves with some sandpaper first

That or she was feeling really lazy when she made this pair :P

Right.the original weren't painted. I only saw 1 blurry screen shot were they seemed to be white, but you can't tell really.

On 99,9% of the pic they were not painted.
