ivanhoe13 Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Hi wondering if anyone can help me with my helmet I`m trying to find as much help with photo`s and anything else on padding and strapping inside lids Just got something from my neice who was in Afghanistan some helmet chin strap but its short or looks darn hard to be that simple so if you have any ideas any way to give me a push in the right direction would be very welcome many thanks Quote
Pickles[TK] Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 I've experimented with a couple chin straps - none of which I am happy with so I'll be watching this thread. Quote
Sonnenschein Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Actually, screen accurate padding and strapping worked fine for me Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 contact the uk garrison. otherwise the best option is to understand the helmet inside we will show photos. Quote
RogueTrooper[TK] Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Here are some good pix for the padding and strap. For uber screen accurate, the chin snap is a S-spring. The strap is about 25mm wide (1 inch) and were connected to the inside at the ear screws. The padding is foam around 25mm (1inch) thick cut into a leaf style design Yellow over time (see pattern below). But you can soak it in tea to get to the yellowed look. Quote
bigironvault Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 You know I thought I wanted to be fancy with the padding but man that foam flower is perfect. Quote
