  17. Thanks for that anybody know where I could pick up a real folding stock to replace the resin one I`d love to add some real weight to the resin kit and besides the resin stock seems rather flimsy to say the least and I would prefer a liittle weight to my blaster Thanks for all the help
  18. Too true we can not even own replicas unless paint so wierd and wonderful colour in the UK and even mention the word G-U-N has the authorities breathing down your neck we can only sit in awe of our cousins across the pond but the SMG still looks as good as it was when I lugged one for queen and country shame crying shame for the old days lol
  19. Hi all, right can anyone answer this query? living in the UK Its hard to get the real spares like Drings and stocks for replacement now would I fall foul of the UK customs if i wanted to buy and replace say the folding stock for resin kit with the real thing and how about D rings anyone know where I could pick one up in the UK ?seeing firearms deactivated or replicas are a very taboo subject and if I could get said parts would I fall foul of the law or what if i went to say a fancy dress party as the Imperial stormtrooper and blaster I dont fancy the idea of a bright blue or orange blaster seems the cousins from across the waters can buy this replacement parts here im sure we would have the bobbies feeling ones collar so guys any thoughts on this would be well appriciated ..........................Thanks

  23. Great looking builds guys just wondering myself which would be a better glue to do the resin kit with had another thought too how about gluing and pining some of the larger parts just a thought I found that out when I was doing the big white metal dragon or figures anyone have any thoughts on this ???yep a bit more work but hey whats a project of joy without a bit of hard graft ???another one I want to ask is the doopey doo kit is a bit on the light side is there any way we could add some meat to in ???make it feel like a blaster rather than some plastic kit any ideas would be welcome as I`ve had my kit now for over a year and wanted to build it like its real rather than a resin kit .
  24. further on the sterling what I can remember for the 80`s Known less-than-affectionately as the Small Metal Gun and a horrible piece of tat,( trash cheap, nasty) especially when combined with the seriously pee-poor ammunition issued in the 80s.the popular veiwing sport at the time was to watch the bullet trickle out of the worn-out rifling and plummet to earth somewhere between 10 and 20 metres downrange. if ever they made it. An amusing quirk was the tendency for the thing to go off if dropped.very scary indeed but in all I still loved it Deeply horrible but, somehow, quintessentially British Army. After much use and abuse by the British Army squaddies some of these went on to future fame and stardom in the Star Wars movies. They were the firearm of choice for the Imperial troops. Used with the butt folded away and firing lasers they still couldn't hit a target at 5 feet distance. seems the stormtroopers had the same problem as us squaddies but it did look cool and even cooler on stormtroopers
