Question about the thick foam in helmets

Hi all,

 

I have seen a few helmets that seem to have a layer of solid thick foam in them plus the leaf foam...example move along helmet...

 

is there are better reference or tutorial on how to reproduce this?

He seems to be talking about additional foam besides the starfish.

I've never seen or heard about that though...

Are you talking about foam at the forehead and back of the head to stop the helmet moving forward and backwards?

Dude, that helmet has only the star shaped foam, which can be clearly seen in the pics you posted...

I was going to bite my toungue but judging by the tone of other peoples posts they are begining to feel the same way:

 

budspencer1971 , a couple of pieces of advice from a seasoned trooper.

 

1, The search function can be you friend. Its there, please use it.

2, Please stop trying to reinvent the wheel.

3, What might be new info for you is verly likely old info for a lot of folks here. If you think you have found something new, use point 1!

4, Do your research before posting, or as our old scout leader used to say " engage brain before opening mouth".

 

Enthusiasm is a good thing, but when you do not bother to follow the points above it just comes over as a tad annoying. Please remember , some of us have been at this a while . And even those that have not have tended to do their research first.
