  1. You make a good point. The armor in the photo does seem to have two right arms.I count 12 dimples on both. where as mine has 12 on the right and 11 on the left. Either way I still love it
  2. I think I got these paired up right. What do you think?
  3. Its not going to tear or crack and I think it would hold up ok for trooping. From what I understand the pvc (also 1.5mm) is more flexiable and can take a bit more punishment. It was roughly cut out I would'nt say pre trimmed. Its easy enough to trim it your self.
  4. Looks great mate!Did you use the original hole markings to rivet the face and cap together?
  5. Why whats wrong with it?
  6. I am thinking of painting the armor too but I'm really not to sure yet . Shoulder bells attached and now this is starting to look good. Worst part of the build yet was sewing on these snaps. Can someone tell me which is the left and right?
  7. Shoulder bells done. Now I'm just waiting for the glue to dry, then I can add the snaps that the connect bells to the torso.
  8. Maybe and this is off topic a bit , the sterling was made for a right hander check the grip .
  9. I dont know if thats yellow paint, could it be glue? Also theres no over spray of primer like the lids. Any way moving on.The torso is assembled Shoulder bells next.
  10. The armor is made for someone that is right handed. The sniper plate being on the left knee proves it.
  11. Love the attention to detail mate Awesome job! My only criticism is to raise the brow more.
  12. Good Point, but we dont know when was it painted. Was it painted for Starwars or was it painted after. If it was painted for starwars I'll be painting mine.I gues I'll watch the Starwars bluray tonight. The kids hate it when hit pause button every time the stormtroopers come on.
  13. Gluing on the elastic to the chest plate and the right shoulder snap to the chest plate. Just got to wait for the glue to dry and reassemble. I think thats it for the torso
  14. I did'nt think the body was painted so at this stage I'm just going to paint the helmet. From what I understand is the brackets were moved from there original position for what ever reason. In your 1st pic you can see the holes where they use to be.As for the ab plate there's no return edge so the brackets have to go on the face of the armor.Though it is possible that the ab plat return edge was damage and had to be removed.
  15. Thanks Steve, That makes sence but this is for display so I'm not to worried, though it would be good for it did fit me. pics of todays progress. Elastic attached by split pins. shoulder elastic glued with E6000. cod piece connected with a split pin at one end and two snaps connect to the but plate. More tomorrow
  16. Ive sewn the elastic loops and assembled.I'm not to sure how big to make the loops I guess its trial and error. more tomorrow
  17. All the brackets are done but I did manage to lose a screw.now assemble.
  18. Cool Marcus you can learn from my mistakes. this afternoon I attached the brackets to the chest & ab.I'll try later tonight to have another crack.
