This was for Halloween. I wanted to wear it and I just wanted to show how the weight loss has inspired me to keep working to finish my armor! This is A.P. Armor. My Height is 5ft 3.5. my weight is 182 lbs. Opinions are welcome. Andy P.S. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!
  4. What is the measurements for cutting the 45 degree corners on the waist Belt? I saw a pic reference a few weeks back and I have been trying to find it? Thanks. Andy
  5. Did anyone across the pond have any problems with their props? Andy http://www.breitbart.com/big-hollywood/2015/10/26/mcm-comic-con-fake-guns-confiscated-bb-guns-allowed-license/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social Over the weekend “fake guns” and “decommissioned guns” were confiscated at London’s MCM Comic Con, but “BB guns” were allowed if they were held by someone with a license to possess such an air gun. Likewise, the “decommissioned guns” were returned to owners as they left the event if the owner possessed a license to own a gun that had been decommissioned. According to NBC News, Britain’s 2003 Anti-Social Behaviour Act means most replicas of guns must be concealed when in a public place. Yet because the fake and decommissioned guns were openly displayed as props, the MCM Comic Con seized the guns for safety. Exceptions were guns that were clearly marked with orange tips on the barrels or other required markings for toys. One MCM Comic Con attendeed–24-year-old Tom Scuffer–was able to hold “an EE 3 carbine…belonging to ‘Star Wars’ bounty hunter Boba Fett.” Scuffer said, “If it’s a toy you should still handle it like it’s the real thing. I won’t even put my finger on the trigger for photos and in a controlled situation like this it’s fine.” MCM Comic Con did allow “large displays of swords and knives…[to be] bought as collector pieces at specialist stalls throughout the show,” but with special rules in place for the transport of such weapons. These special rules included a “mandatory home-delivery system” for such weapons. It is interesting to note that the mandated “home-delivery system” for swords and knives was put in place although the MCM Comic Con has never had an incident involving swords or knives. Elaine Solomon–“a mother attending the show with her 6-month-old baby–appreciated the new rules. She said, “When I saw a stand selling real knifes I was a bit nervous, but then I saw that they [mail] the weapons to you and it made me feel OK.” Follow AWR Hawkins on Twitter: @AWRHawkins. 7. Is there a Pic or diagram on which way teh canvas Belt is connected in the back? 1. Is the Left over right or right over left? 2. Which velcro side is on top? The soft or the hooks? Thanks. Andy
  8. I am ready to work on the A.P. Plastic Waist Belt to Canvas Belt. I am using Binding Screws and posts. I know to measure the length of the Belt, to get the middle location and the with measurement to get the Center of the Belt for the screws attachment. I am going to use Heat to get a curve bend on the Belt.I will dip the Belt it into Boiling water to bend the Belt like I did with the Shoulder tops and the Knee Ammo Belt. The questions I have are.... 1. Should I drill the holes on the Plastic Belt before I bend the belt or after I bend the Belt? 2. Is there a diagram picture of the location of the Belt placement. I have seen the diagram of the spacing for the holster. Is there one with markings for everything? Andy
  9. On my AP Knee Ammo Belt, on side is 1 cm longer than the other side. Is is normal? If it is, On what side should I place the longer end? Andy
  10. Excellent Read!!! Congrats to the 500 EIB! A Special Congrats goes out to FISD 's Founder Paul Hoeffer. Without Paul's vision and dedication in 2005, FISD would not be where it is today. At events the fans enjoy seeing and taking pictures with Stormtroopers! Andy
  11. Sorry to hear that Paul. I thought Anovos are going to offer replacements. They mentioned replacement parts for their T.K. Armor in a recent newsletter. http://us2.campaign-archive1.com/?u=d364b6e2ca1099fb0335fbecd&id=a995a5acf2&e=af8675a1dd Welcome to Update #3, Troopers! After our last update, we received a lot of positive feedback from those who have ordered the Original Trilogy Stormtrooper Armor, so we hope that we are heading in the right direction as far as our commitment to communicate better with those who invest in our product! We are already back to work after our team exhibited for the first time at Salt Lake Comic Con from September 24-26 and enjoyed discussing the Stormtrooper and Shadow Stormtrooper costumes with fans. It’s really amazing to watch life-long dreams of being a Stormtrooper start to become a reality when a fan makes the decision to acquire a kit---with spousal approval, of course! And speaking of kits, we realize that for many of you this is going to be the first endeavor into the world of armor-building, and we want it to go as smoothly as possible. As such, we’re developing detailed illustrated instructions from Chris Reiff and Chris Trevas, the same team of artists who produced things like Hasbro’s San Diego Comic Con First Order Stormtrooper figure booklet and the Parts of Star Wars website. These guys share the same passion for Star Wars as the rest of us and we're looking forward to seeing their finished work! Here's a peek at some rough behind-the-scenes concept work that is already under way: As you know, our decision to offer costumes in kit form as well as completed ensembles enables us to deliver a more affordable product as well as gives you the opportunity to customize the armor to your own body for an ideal fit. If you haven't watched part one already, check out this video from our friends at Tested.com which demonstrates some basic armor-building techniques: http://bit.ly/1Jlg6HT We can't wait to see more tutorials from them as they show more of our Shadow Stormtrooper prototype...in fact, you can see the completed kit on Frank Ippolito (minus helmet) as he tours Dragon Con 2015 here: http://bit.ly/1iLLxFe We’re also considering mitigating your risk with a protection plan that would provide you at-cost replacement parts. No more worries about making a cut too deep or gluing the wrong parts together! More on that as the program develops! We are still on target for late November/early December shipping! Because of the sheer volume of trooper kits we are producing, we decided to have the bucks milled in aluminum to avoid degradation of the molds. This investment means we can produce quality troopers for years to come! By the way, remember how you helped us break 33,000 Facebook fans back in July? To thank you for your support, here's the 33 random customers that will get FREE shipping for their Stormtrooper pre-order: Hastin S. Jackson D. John M. Michael S. Steve P. Yasser H. Allison D. Freddy G. Thomas B. Andy K. Robert J. Walter W. Mark L. Jim J. Thomas M. Douglas M. Bradley B. David C. Eric T. Tom T. Peter K. Robert H. Keaton D. Jose E. John J. Blake H. Andrey K. Patrick R. Kevin K. Ryan E. Joshua D. David C. Xavier C. We'll be reaching out to the 33 selected in the next week regarding refunding of the shipping cost, so please stay tuned! Also, please don’t forget that although we are now at full Initial Offering Price for the Classic Stormtrooper, it’s still not too late to convince friends to join the Empire because building armor is more fun when you do it as a team! Keep passing along those one-time use 10% OFF coupon codes that come with every order placed after mid-June 2015 -- make sure to pass them on as early as possible, as they only last for two (2) weeks following placement of the order that the code was issued with! Thank you again for your support as we work together to change the face of costuming and fill the world with more Stormtroopers! Be sure to ‘like’ our Facebook page at facebook.com/anovos, follow us on Twitter at twitter.com/anovos, and on Instagram at instagram.com/anovos. For the Empire! Team ANOVO
