  1. I believe the AM helmet is the old FX helmet with a revised dome. Out of the two, RT-Mod will be more accurate. It's not uncommon to use another maker's helmet with AM though. In reference to TKRestonVA's build thread, I think he's using a TM bucket and AM armor. The color might not be an exact match but that won't keep the suit from being cleared. And if you're weathering it for a TD it won't matter anyway.
  2. You're about the right build for either armor set. AP is ABS and ATA can come in either ABS or HIPS. Since you're in the UK TM is also an option. Check out the EIB or Centurion threads to get an idea of what the various makes look like when assembled.
  3. FX.
  4. You'll do well with either armor maker. If one fits your budget better than the other, well that helps make the decision IMO. For the differences between the movie suits head over to www.starwarshelmets.com. Then reading the CRLs here will make it clearer for the distinctions.
  5. Humbrol #5 or Testors #1138 for the gray. Can't remember if it's gloss or satin black for the vocoder. Scootch also has a tutorial for buckets: http://forum.whitear...=1
  6. Halloween, the great incentive for getting builds done. Welcome aboard guys
  7. Welcome Patrick, 99.9999% of the members here buy their armor, that other .0001% consists of the armor makers that are members here. So maybe you were meaning you wanted to buy an assembled set of armor? As Jenny mentioned I'd stay away from assembled kits as it's much harder to re-assemble and trim it to fit you when it's already been fit to someone else. With the tutorials here and all the build threads you'll be able to put your suit together. All it takes is thorough reading and some patience. I don't see where you're located, but your local garrison will be instrumental as well.
