Interesting...i did not know of the existence of this stuff. Have you ever used this on your armor our any other similar ABS, TK5144? Was there any harm done?
Interestingly, I had just ordered this stuff 2 days ago from amazon, then I saw this topic.
I will try it when it arrives next week.
Reviews on amazon were pretty good... people got CA glue off a countertop, even clothing. I too am interested if it will damage the ABS. I will try it on a scrap first.

pictures of the new ears are above

A safer bet would be 36 inch waist, but yes I made the ab plate deeper.
What about the chest piece?
is it larger, more ANH like... or still the smaller chest, like the TE lineage all are?
-
Yes I added another 4 inches to the waist. I wear a 38 inch..
Is it true that the MTK armor has been modified to fit a 38 inch waisted trooper? without shims in the AB to Kidney piece?

that is where to cut where he put the pencil lines

once you get your ears lined up it will be easier to see where to trim around the neck seal

If you must buy from the americas then trooperbay is what you want, although they are actually too big. The best one you get from Karin (Sonnenschein) in Austria.

is there a picture with size comparison of Karins and trooperbay?

The weird thing is he goes into the falcon with a stunt lid and comes out with a hero lid. The only stromtrooper in the legion with a grappling hook, maybe he is a prototype spelunking stormtrooper

isn't that still a stunt helmet?
brow looks too high for Hero helmet
-
this TK wears it, as he is boarding the falcon.
-
Since the TK entering the falcon had the grappling hook box - can a TK be built in a stunt ANH fashion - but be built with the grappling hook box and comlink instead of the thermal detonator?
or is this arrangement considered only for hero TK?
-
You got an NE?
Haven't seen anyone get this yet... could be the first?
Or are they still shipping the old AM model?
-
I agree wit you Jay that I don't buy from anything but 1st gen, but the differences between MOT's previous offerings and the currents ones leaves no room but to conclude that the origins are RS.
but still a TE2 helmet origin?

Type: TE2
Country: USA
Contact: HDPblues on FISD
Kit: HIPS, untrimmed, ANH derived
Availability: Very limited. Only produces set numbers in runs.
Assembly: Armor needs to be trimmed, parts butt joined with finishing strips, then painted.
Comments: Helmet is considered the most screen accurate available, though some don't like the bumpy cap and back.
Anyone know, is TE2 still making kits?
HDPblues has not posted in months, inbox is full.

SWEET! Drooling... is that a HF DLT-19? The all black one?
Yes, its a Hyperfirm. I added the ttrack. No side box added (yet).
-
just sharing.
(scratch MG15, "made by Greedo" dlt19, Hyperfirm MG34 modded, Hasbro clone modded)
all toys (mostly hasbro or kenner) filled w bondo, sanded, painted.
-
The TK that boarded the Falcon for the scanning crew carried only a DLT19.
-
get the black duct tape to start with, then no undersuit needed.
-
wasnt the trim applied differently for anh vs rotj?
Anyone with some good pictures?

Did you take any pictures of how you trimmed the faceplate? yours has the least amount of gap above the ear that I have seen!
