I wonder what Winter 2015 will really end up being?
I heard from a Garrison mate that with their Trek preorders it typicallly is several months later than they estimate.

I still say it's poor showing not to bring their OT tk to celebration....
Also they don't bring the Vader that they supppsedly will be shipping in the next couple months?

Not much said at the panel about the anh tk. they discussed at great length how for many of their pieces, they 3d scanned original items from the archives.

I don't see the tk armor at their booth. Lots of episode 7 trooper helmets.

I'm hoping to see some of their own casts at cvii. Not just their moncal stuff. If the tk is their own sculpt, there's no reason not to have it on display at cvii

Just confirmed. The images shown are indeed ANOVOS original prototype pics, not someone else's work.
The pictures on the Anovos web site are of the actual armor that they have pulled from their own sculpts?

I got the email too. I'm tempted at the $350 price point. Hard to beat that if the sculpt is good.

thats not their sculpt.
they put pictures up of someone else's kit for the initial sale.
I don't know which that is for the TK. For the TI and ATAT they used Moncal's.

I'll get some pics of some trimmed parts up tomorrow hopefully.
I did have one quick question about something that's worrying me, but might be a normal thing. I have one side of each of the right forearm pieces trimmed for a cover strip, but when I put them together the forearm looks really oval. It fits, but when I glue the cover strip it'll likely have some tension put on it. Is e6000 going to hold that well? It seems like it will always be under tension and I fear it would come apart at the worst time.
clamp it good with clamps or magnets while the e6000 is drying.
let it dry 24 hours before touching it . it will hold.
the good thing about e6000 is if you dont like how it turns out, you can forcefully rip it up without damaging your plastic and re-do.

Just wanted to drop in and say that your armor is looking awesome, and your documented progress is going to be a huge help! I have a set of NE armor I got almost a year ago, just been too afraid of messing it up, so after reading this thread I think I might be ready to tackle this.
Chris - you should get yourself in gear! get to work on that armor!

It will be strong. Probably stronger than your native ABS. I don't see a reason it would not hold up.
