  1. And to quantify the statement: The largest and busiest ( not to mention accuracy obsessed ) garrison in the 501st Legion is almost 95% Rom FX equiped. What greater recommendation could you ask for?
  2. Listen to Bill you must.
  3. I know what that is. The guy who runs the stormtrooper shop used to sel Adult, mid sized and kids trooper kits. Looks like this muppet has bought one designed for a small adult/teenage child and tried to make it fit his adult frame. Just compare the helmets that come with both sets: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Star-wars-Stormtrooper-Armour-Kit-Halloween-fancy-dress-/280565682341?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item41530490a5 The smaller sized ( mid and child ) are propotionally rather long and narrow as in your linked auction. I know as I had to trim 6" off of a kids set to fit my 5 year old.
  4. UKG only do canon events mate, thats the problem. Every troop is dealt with as if Lucas himself is about to walk through the door. Makes for very high standards, but can sometimes lead to situations like this. As for lids: we have, as many already know, a lids on at all times infront of the public. Its made a little more workable as we ensure that EVERY event we attend is due to invitation and that we are provided with secure changing / lids off facilities out of the public eye. But thats for another discussion.
  5. Agreed 100% Far too many posting just to hear the sound of their own voice these days. Posts like yours are the antidote.
  6. Many thanks guys.
  7. As the search engine has a hissy fit when I put "T track" into it.... can anyone point me in the right direction for some good quality/accurate T track please. Many thanks, Matt.
  8. Many Happy Returns mate.
  9. Talking of hiccups... am I the only one who has half the search space hidden behind the grey sign in/out box? Been like it ever since the forum change months back.
  10. Damn that looks good!
  11. I sent him all the info you could ever possibly need to differentiate between FX and SDS along with links to the FISD and a list of people to speak to. He knew.

  13. Technically credit should go to Colin Brown of the UKG. He brought this to our attention a few weeks ago having got into the conversation with the owner who discovered it. He posted up pics of the suit in detail ( but asked for it to be kept on the quiet at the time) and asked about its authenticity. Sadly within 48 hours the pics were removed at the owners request, appears he did not appreciate the help being offered to him. Most notable was the strapping system on show, which pretty much conclusivley proves that TM's new/old strapping system IS the accurate way to go.
  14. He knew.
  15. Avoid,avoid,avoid,avoid!!!
  16. Metal coathanger. Wrap wire around pipe of smaller diameter than inside bore of pipe. Simples!!
  17. Weatherd! That thing looks frakked! Love it. C'mon Camelot, where is my lottery win?
  18. And yet having sent him a message politley pointing out his mistake/ deliberatley misleading advert if he "is" the 501st member I have yet to hear back from him. <_<
  19. Looks great, nice job. Not sure on the hand plates on the wrong gloves though.
  20. According to the TK numbers profile he has been a member of the 501st since Jan 2006 so he knows EXACTLY what it is, unless he has been living under a rock.
  21. " TE Matt, get your customers armour built before making fem trooper armour for a fan film"?
  22. Ah! So you were one of the lucky buggers that got one of his metal case ones. I hate you.
  23. Really? Or is this just yet another pointless post with which to boost your post count ( you know, like your last 10 )?
