Last I heard CAP was replacing the shoulder bells with SDS and the knee was TM.

CAP recast TE, SDS and TM, he didnt make anything. Dan Laws made the TE/TE2 armor. ATA recast TE, TE2, and CAP essentially. But who cares anyway right?

I talked with Brian today over at Profiles in History and I will be viewing the helmet soon. I will get those colors and settle the mystery for good. It took alot of talking but I get 10 minutes to view the helmet. I will take my camera but I am not sure if I will be allowed to take pics. If not then Johns are excellent anyway. The auction isnt until October and they estimate the price of the helmet to be in the $30-50,000.00 range. Anyone wanna go in on it? say 20-30 of us at $1500.00 a piece lol!!!

If only I would have known sooner I would have made the 2.5 hour drive with PMS book in hand. The color would have been without a doubt the most accurate yet. I have placed a call in the hopes of getting a chance to see it if its still there. My hopes are not too high though as there is nothing on their website at all

Here are the colors I have so far. The common ad gray is for the ears which as usual will need to be painted. I wanted to show the contrast between the ears and the trap/tear colors. Which one do you guys like? I am leaning toward the PMS 7545

May I see a pic of the rear traps from straight on? Are these helmets resin? I have seen resin and now what appears to be ABS.

I was going to say starwarshelmets.com buuuuuut Jez beat me to it. There is alot of info repeated over and over on this and many many sites. An index would be great, however redundant as hell I actually chose my first set of armor after surfing for several weeks. Starwarshelmets.com had pics of everyones armor. It basically comes down to a small grid Skinny-Medium Build and 5'8" - 6'0 = AP, TE2, TM Medium build and 6' to 6'10"=FX Chubby 5'8" to 6' RT-MOD, FX Fat? Imperial officer uniform or TK4510 T-shirt.....which is where I am at Of course there are exceptions... Shims baby, shims!! FX totally innacurate ABS AP pretty accurate and ABS TE2 Styrene and very Accurate TM ABS and glossy HIPS most accurate There is a whole host of other makes and types but they come from these armors in recast form of some kind... Thats about all I can think of. What'd I miss, cause I know I missed something

Less is more, I let my actions do the talking and sweat it out I tried all the fans, amps, etc.., but in the end I just upgraded to darker lenses and a hard hat liner.

Well its been a little while since I first posted this but I wanted to bump it up because its in the final stages. I have yet to have received a helmet to test fit the templates but thanks to some great volunteers I have now got my templates for the tears and traps. The design work is done. I am now researching the colors. I know in alot of shots the traps appear to be an almost purple blue gray, but I think the real color is not as intense. I am color correcting the images I have and will be posting PMS colors for you guys to give opinions on shortly. If you are still interested please PM me one way or the other so that I can refresh the list. Thanks, these bad boys are gonna be sweet!

Tube stripes are only $6.00 shipped. They are a snap to apply and you do them all at once not individually. You did say that you put them on one at a time, right? "I put these all on by hand and spent a long time on each one smoothing the bubbles out and letting them adhere"
