  1. Picked them up at Westlake Hardware.
  2. This is how I attached one of the end caps to my Thermal Det Tube. I used 2 rare earth mags and e6000 glued them in place. Then I made a angle piece from leftovers from the clips. So far it seems to work. I might have to add another on the other side, I won't know until I get the suit together and try it. I held it in the small of my back with my left hand and used my right hand to open it from behind me. Worked pretty cool, then just got close and it snapped back on. Also when you go TX the tabs really look better painted black . Well back to work on the Monkey TX.
  3. "Ya, doesn't everybody?" Been spending the day working on the suspension system. Who would of thought Home EC class would have come in handy 30 years later? I had to get out the sewing machine to make some straps. Still pushing forward almost there. More pics to come.................................................
  4. Alright you got me... Now these are just before I start on the strapping system. Test fit on monkey dummy to get a gestimate on sizing. All in all it's coming a long. Time to clean up the tools of the trade and move on to straps and snaps .
  5. Yes everything except a lid. Still waiting on the ATA. Yep, I'd post pictures but it went together fairly uneventful, (don't get me wrong that is just fine). Everyone here has seen that done that the only difference is it's TX. For my first build everything is going together as expected. Hope I didn't jenks it .................Naw? Oh please..Oh please..........
  6. This is what is left of the fantastic glue. I asked earlier what to use for my FX TX, and you guys were right. E6000 is the glue! Hands down. Just in case anyone was curious.
  7. Doesn't it really come down to the quality of the product produced? From what I've studied, (most right here) there are little differences that set different armor off from the others. End result should be a quality suit of armor depicting and ANH or ESB or RotJ. A Stormtrooper. It's up to the builder and his talents to make the armor what it is in the end. I mess with old cars and pull parts from the junk yard, get them over the counter, from friends and swap meets. My goal is to build a Hot Rod. To me this is very similar right here. My goal is to make a set of armor. Just saying.............
  8. Not that it matters but now I know. Great info.
  9. No need to apologize, Keep the pictures coming of the TX lids. Just great stuff! Thanks all,
  10. Thanks for the pic. I'm looking forward to getting my ATA lid and getting started on him. What type of paint and primer are you using, and how is that going?

  22. As everyone I've read about so far has had nothing but great things to say about this seller and his product. I think we all just got lucky and someone actually cares about customer service. I know I'm still a newb here but man was I glad to find these boots. Now I can move on to getting my armor ready and not worry about boots that might not pass the 501st. This is the real deal, you just can't beat it.
  23. Great photos! I'll be using these as reference for my TK project. Is that a PT helmet also? Thanks Trooper, and I dig your handle.
  24. You know I'm not sure. I've asked the question too and really haven't heard back on it yet. I would love to see a picture of a side by side comparison. I'm sure someone is out there with this info, this place hasn't let me down yet.
